عَمَّ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ١
WANAULIZANA nini?
About what are they asking one another?

النَّبَأ
An-Naba · An-Naba
Maana: "Habari Kubwa"
BISMILLAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHIIM
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu
عَنِ ٱلنَّبَإِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٢
Ile khabari kuu,
About the great news -
ٱلَّذِى هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ ٣
Ambayo kwayo wanakhitalifiana.
That over which they are in disagreement.
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٤
La! Karibu watakuja jua.
No! They are going to know.
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ ٥
Tena la! Karibu watakuja jua.
Then, no! They are going to know.
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِهَٰدًۭا ٦
Kwani hatukuifanya ardhi kama tandiko?
Have We not made the earth a resting place?
وَٱلْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًۭا ٧
Na milima kama vigingi?
And the mountains as stakes?
وَخَلَقْنَٰكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ٨
Na tukakuumbeni kwa jozi?
And We created you in pairs
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًۭا ٩
Na tukakufanya kulala kwenu ni mapumziko?
And made your sleep [a means for] rest
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلَّيْلَ لِبَاسًۭا ١٠
Na tukaufanya usiku ni nguo?
And made the night as clothing
وَجَعَلْنَا ٱلنَّهَارَ مَعَاشًۭا ١١
Na tukaufanya mchana ni wa kuchumia maisha?
And made the day for livelihood
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًۭا شِدَادًۭا ١٢
Na tukajenga juu yenu saba zenye nguvu?
And constructed above you seven strong [heavens]
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًۭا وَهَّاجًۭا ١٣
Na tukaifanya taa yenye mwanga na joto;
And made [therein] a burning lamp
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْمُعْصِرَٰتِ مَآءًۭ ثَجَّاجًۭا ١٤
Na tukateremsha maji yanayo anguka kwa kasi kutoka mawinguni,
And sent down, from the rain clouds, pouring water
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِۦ حَبًّۭا وَنَبَاتًۭا ١٥
Ili tutoe kwayo nafaka na mimea,
That We may bring forth thereby grain and vegetation
وَجَنَّٰتٍ أَلْفَافًا ١٦
Na mabustani yenye miti iliyo kamatana.
And gardens of entwined growth.
إِنَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَٰتًۭا ١٧
Hakika siku ya uamuzi imewekewa wakati wake,
Indeed, the Day of Judgement is an appointed time -
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًۭا ١٨
Siku litapo pulizwa barugumu, nanyi mtakuja kwa makundi,
The Day the Horn is blown and you will come forth in multitudes
وَفُتِحَتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَٰبًۭا ١٩
Na mbingu zitafunguliwa, ziwe milango,
And the heaven is opened and will become gateways
وَسُيِّرَتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا ٢٠
Na milima itaondolewa na itakuwa kama sarabi.
And the mountains are removed and will be [but] a mirage.
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًۭا ٢١
Hakika Jahannamu inangojea!
Indeed, Hell has been lying in wait
لِّلطَّٰغِينَ مَـَٔابًۭا ٢٢
Kwa walio asi ndio makaazi yao,
For the transgressors, a place of return,
لَّٰبِثِينَ فِيهَآ أَحْقَابًۭا ٢٣
Wakae humo karne baada ya karne,
In which they will remain for ages [unending].
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا ٢٤
Hawataonja humo chochote kibaridi wala kinywaji,
They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink
إِلَّا حَمِيمًۭا وَغَسَّاقًۭا ٢٥
Ila maji yamoto sana na usaha,
Except scalding water and [foul] purulence -
جَزَآءًۭ وِفَاقًا ٢٦
Ndio jaza muwafaka.
An appropriate recompense.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًۭا ٢٧
Hakika hao hawakuwa wakitaraji kuwa kuna hisabu.
Indeed, they were not expecting an account
وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كِذَّابًۭا ٢٨
Na wakikanusha Aya zetu kwa nguvu.
And denied Our verses with [emphatic] denial.
وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ كِتَٰبًۭا ٢٩
Na kila kitu Sisi tumekidhibiti kwa kukiandika.
But all things We have enumerated in writing.
فَذُوقُوا۟ فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا ٣٠
Basi onjeni! Nasi hatutakuzidishieni ila adhabu!
"So taste [the penalty], and never will We increase you except in torment."
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا ٣١
Hakika wachamngu wanastahiki kufuzu,
Indeed, for the righteous is attainment -
حَدَآئِقَ وَأَعْنَٰبًۭا ٣٢
Mabustani na mizabibu,
Gardens and grapevines
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًۭا ٣٣
Na wake walio lingana nao,
And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
وَكَأْسًۭا دِهَاقًۭا ٣٤
Na bilauri zilizo jaa,
And a full cup.
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا كِذَّٰبًۭا ٣٥
Hawatasikia humo upuuzi wala uwongo -
No ill speech will they hear therein or any falsehood -
جَزَآءًۭ مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَآءً حِسَابًۭا ٣٦
Malipo kutoka kwa Mola wako Mlezi, kipawa cha kutosha.
[As] reward from your Lord, [a generous] gift [made due by] account,
رَّبِّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًۭا ٣٧
Mola Mlezi wa mbingu na ardhi na vilio baina yao, Arrahman, Mwingi wa rehema; hawamiliki usemi mbele yake!
[From] the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Most Merciful. They possess not from Him [authority for] speech.
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ ٱلرُّوحُ وَٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ صَفًّۭا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًۭا ٣٨
Siku atakapo simama Roho na Malaika kwa safu. Hawatasema ila Mwingi wa rehema aliye mruhusu, na atasema yaliyo sawa tu.
The Day that the Spirit and the angels will stand in rows, they will not speak except for one whom the Most Merciful permits, and he will say what is correct.
ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَآءَ ٱتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ مَـَٔابًا ٣٩
Hiyo ndiyo Siku ya haki. Basi anaye taka na ashike njia arejee kwa Mola wake Mlezi.
That is the True Day; so he who wills may take to his Lord a [way of] return.
إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَٰكُمْ عَذَابًۭا قَرِيبًۭا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا ٤٠
Hakika tumekuhadharisheni adhabu iliyo karibu kufika; Siku ambayo mtu atakapo ona yaliyo tangulizwa na mikono yake; na kafiri atasema: Laiti ningeli kuwa udongo!
Indeed, We have warned you of a near punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"
