Al-Waaqi'ah (الوَاقِعَة) · Qur'ani Tukufu

إِذَا وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ١

Litakapo tukia hilo Tukio

When the Occurrence occurs,

لَيْسَ لِوَقْعَتِهَا كَاذِبَةٌ ٢

Hapana cha kukanusha kutukia kwake.

There is, at its occurrence, no denial.

خَافِضَةٌۭ رَّافِعَةٌ ٣

Literemshalo linyanyualo,

It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].

إِذَا رُجَّتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ رَجًّۭا ٤

Itakapo tikiswa ardhi kwa mtikiso,

When the earth is shaken with convulsion

وَبُسَّتِ ٱلْجِبَالُ بَسًّۭا ٥

Na milima itapo sagwasagwa,

And the mountains are broken down, crumbling

فَكَانَتْ هَبَآءًۭ مُّنۢبَثًّۭا ٦

Iwe mavumbi yanayo peperushwa,

And become dust dispersing.

وَكُنتُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا ثَلَٰثَةًۭ ٧

Na nyinyi mtakuwa namna tatu:-

And you become [of] three kinds:

فَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ ٨

Basi watakuwepo wa kuliani; je, ni wepi wa kuliani?

Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ ٩

Na wa kushotoni; je, ni wepi wa kushotoni?

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

وَٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ٱلسَّٰبِقُونَ ١٠

Na wa mbele watakuwa mbele.

And the forerunners, the forerunners -

أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبُونَ ١١

Hao ndio watakao karibishwa

Those are the ones brought near [to Allah]

فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ١٢

Katika Bustani zenye neema.

In the Gardens of Pleasure,

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣

Fungu kubwa katika wa mwanzo,

A [large] company of the former peoples

وَقَلِيلٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ١٤

Na wachache katika wa mwisho.

And a few of the later peoples,

عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مَّوْضُونَةٍۢ ١٥

Watakuwa juu ya viti vya fakhari vilivyo tonewa.

On thrones woven [with ornament],

مُّتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَيْهَا مُتَقَٰبِلِينَ ١٦

Wakiviegemea wakielekeana.

Reclining on them, facing each other.

يَطُوفُ عَلَيْهِمْ وِلْدَٰنٌۭ مُّخَلَّدُونَ ١٧

Wakitumikiwa na wavulana wa ujana wa milele,

There will circulate among them young boys made eternal

بِأَكْوَابٍۢ وَأَبَارِيقَ وَكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۢ ١٨

Kwa vikombe na mabirika na bilauri za vinywaji kutoka chemchem safi.

With vessels, pitchers and a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring -

لَّا يُصَدَّعُونَ عَنْهَا وَلَا يُنزِفُونَ ١٩

Hawataumwa kichwa kwa vinywaji hivyo wala hawatoleweshwa.

No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated -

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ مِّمَّا يَتَخَيَّرُونَ ٢٠

Na matunda wayapendayo,

And fruit of what they select

وَلَحْمِ طَيْرٍۢ مِّمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ٢١

Na nyama za ndege kama wanavyo tamani.

And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.

وَحُورٌ عِينٌۭ ٢٢

Na Mahurulaini,

And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,

كَأَمْثَٰلِ ٱللُّؤْلُؤِ ٱلْمَكْنُونِ ٢٣

Walio kama mfano wa lulu zilio hifadhiwa.

The likenesses of pearls well-protected,

جَزَآءًۢ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ٢٤

Ni malipo kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyatenda.

As reward for what they used to do.

لَا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًۭا وَلَا تَأْثِيمًا ٢٥

Humo hawatasikia porojo wala maneno ya dhambi,

They will not hear therein ill speech or commission of sin -

إِلَّا قِيلًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا سَلَٰمًۭا ٢٦

Isipo kuwa maneno ya Salama, Salama.

Only a saying: "Peace, peace."

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٢٧

Na wale wa mkono wa kulia, ni yepi yatakuwa ya wa kuliani?

The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right?

فِى سِدْرٍۢ مَّخْضُودٍۢ ٢٨

Katika mikunazi isiyo na miba,

[They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed

وَطَلْحٍۢ مَّنضُودٍۢ ٢٩

Na migomba iliyo pangiliwa,

And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]

وَظِلٍّۢ مَّمْدُودٍۢ ٣٠

Na kivuli kilicho tanda,

And shade extended

وَمَآءٍۢ مَّسْكُوبٍۢ ٣١

Na maji yanayo miminika,

And water poured out

وَفَٰكِهَةٍۢ كَثِيرَةٍۢ ٣٢

Na matunda mengi,

And fruit, abundant [and varied],

لَّا مَقْطُوعَةٍۢ وَلَا مَمْنُوعَةٍۢ ٣٣

Hayatindikii wala hayakatazwi,

Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden,

وَفُرُشٍۢ مَّرْفُوعَةٍ ٣٤

Na matandiko yaliyo nyanyuliwa.

And [upon] beds raised high.

إِنَّآ أَنشَأْنَٰهُنَّ إِنشَآءًۭ ٣٥

Hakika Sisi tutawaumba (Mahurulaini) upya,

Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation

فَجَعَلْنَٰهُنَّ أَبْكَارًا ٣٦

Na tutawafanya vijana,

And made them virgins,

عُرُبًا أَتْرَابًۭا ٣٧

Wanapendana na waume zao, hirimu moja.

Devoted [to their husbands] and of equal age,

لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٣٨

Kwa ajili ya watu wa kuliani.

For the companions of the right [who are]

ثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٣٩

Fungu kubwa katika wa mwanzo,

A company of the former peoples

وَثُلَّةٌۭ مِّنَ ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٤٠

Na fungu kubwa katika wa mwisho.

And a company of the later peoples.

وَأَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ مَآ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلشِّمَالِ ٤١

Na watu wa kushotoni; je ni yepi ya wa kushotoni?

And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left?

فِى سَمُومٍۢ وَحَمِيمٍۢ ٤٢

Katika upepo wa moto, na maji yanayo chemka,

[They will be] in scorching fire and scalding water

وَظِلٍّۢ مِّن يَحْمُومٍۢ ٤٣

Na kivuli cha moshi mweusi,

And a shade of black smoke,

لَّا بَارِدٍۢ وَلَا كَرِيمٍ ٤٤

Si cha kuburudisha wala kustarehesha.

Neither cool nor beneficial.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ قَبْلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتْرَفِينَ ٤٥

Hakika hao walikuwa kabla ya haya wakiishi maisha ya anasa.

Indeed they were, before that, indulging in affluence,

وَكَانُوا۟ يُصِرُّونَ عَلَى ٱلْحِنثِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٤٦

Na walikuwa wakishikilia kufanya madhambi makubwa,

And they used to persist in the great violation,

وَكَانُوا۟ يَقُولُونَ أَئِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ٤٧

Na walikuwa wakisema: Tutakapo kufa na tukawa udongo na mafupa, ati ndio tutafufuliwa?

And they used to say, "When we die and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?

أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ٤٨

Au baba zetu wa zamani?

And our forefathers [as well]?"

قُلْ إِنَّ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ وَٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٤٩

Sema: Hakika wa zamani na wa mwisho

Say, [O Muhammad], "Indeed, the former and the later peoples

لَمَجْمُوعُونَ إِلَىٰ مِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ٥٠

Bila ya shaka watakusanywa kwa wakati wa siku maalumu.

Are to be gathered together for the appointment of a known Day."

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ أَيُّهَا ٱلضَّآلُّونَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبُونَ ٥١

Kisha nyinyi, mlio potea, mnao kanusha,

Then indeed you, O those astray [who are] deniers,

لَءَاكِلُونَ مِن شَجَرٍۢ مِّن زَقُّومٍۢ ٥٢

Kwa yakini mtakula mti wa Zaqqumu.

Will be eating from trees of zaqqum

فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ٥٣

Na kwa mti huo mtajaza matumbo.

And filling with it your bellies

فَشَٰرِبُونَ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ ٱلْحَمِيمِ ٥٤

Na juu yake mtakunywa maji yanayo chemka.

And drinking on top of it from scalding water

فَشَٰرِبُونَ شُرْبَ ٱلْهِيمِ ٥٥

Tena mtakunywa kama wanavyo kunywa ngamia wenye kiu.

And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.

هَٰذَا نُزُلُهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ٥٦

Hiyo ndiyo karamu yao Siku ya Malipo.

That is their accommodation on the Day of Recompense.

نَحْنُ خَلَقْنَٰكُمْ فَلَوْلَا تُصَدِّقُونَ ٥٧

Sisi tumekuumbeni; basi hamsadiki?

We have created you, so why do you not believe?

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تُمْنُونَ ٥٨

Je! Mnaiona mbegu ya uzazi mnayo idondokeza?

Have you seen that which you emit?

ءَأَنتُمْ تَخْلُقُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْخَٰلِقُونَ ٥٩

Je! Mnaiumba nyinyi, au ni Sisi ndio Waumbaji?

Is it you who creates it, or are We the Creator?

نَحْنُ قَدَّرْنَا بَيْنَكُمُ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ٦٠

Sisi tumekuwekeeni mauti; na wala Sisi hatushindwi

We have decreed death among you, and We are not to be outdone

عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ أَمْثَٰلَكُمْ وَنُنشِئَكُمْ فِى مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٦١

Kuwaleta wengine badala yenu na kukuumbeni nyinyi kwa umbo msilo lijua.

In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.

وَلَقَدْ عَلِمْتُمُ ٱلنَّشْأَةَ ٱلْأُولَىٰ فَلَوْلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٦٢

Na bila ya shaka mlikwisha jua umbo la kwanza, basi kwa nini hamkumbuki?

And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember?

أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا تَحْرُثُونَ ٦٣

Je! Mnaona makulima mnayo yapanda?

And have you seen that [seed] which you sow?

ءَأَنتُمْ تَزْرَعُونَهُۥٓ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلزَّٰرِعُونَ ٦٤

Je! Ni nyinyi mnayo yaotesha au ni Sisi ndio wenye kuotesha?

Is it you who makes it grow, or are We the grower?

لَوْ نَشَآءُ لَجَعَلْنَٰهُ حُطَٰمًۭا فَظَلْتُمْ تَفَكَّهُونَ ٦٥

Tungeli taka tungeli yafanya yakawa mapepe, mkabaki mnastaajabu,

If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,

إِنَّا لَمُغْرَمُونَ ٦٦

Mkisema: Hakika sisi tumegharimika;

[Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt;

بَلْ نَحْنُ مَحْرُومُونَ ٦٧

Bali sisi tumenyimwa.

Rather, we have been deprived."

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلْمَآءَ ٱلَّذِى تَشْرَبُونَ ٦٨

Je! Mnayaona maji mnayo yanywa?

And have you seen the water that you drink?

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنزَلْتُمُوهُ مِنَ ٱلْمُزْنِ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنزِلُونَ ٦٩

Je! Ni nyinyi mnayo yateremsha kutoka mawinguni au ni Sisi ndio wenye kuyateremsha?

Is it you who brought it down from the clouds, or is it We who bring it down?

لَوْ نَشَآءُ جَعَلْنَٰهُ أُجَاجًۭا فَلَوْلَا تَشْكُرُونَ ٧٠

Tungeli penda tungeli yafanya ya chumvi. Basi mbona hamshukuru?

If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful?

أَفَرَءَيْتُمُ ٱلنَّارَ ٱلَّتِى تُورُونَ ٧١

Je! Mnauona moto mnao uwasha?

And have you seen the fire that you ignite?

ءَأَنتُمْ أَنشَأْتُمْ شَجَرَتَهَآ أَمْ نَحْنُ ٱلْمُنشِـُٔونَ ٧٢

Ni nyinyi mlio uumba mti wake au Sisi ndio Waumbaji?

Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer?

نَحْنُ جَعَلْنَٰهَا تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَمَتَٰعًۭا لِّلْمُقْوِينَ ٧٣

Sisi tumeufanya uwe ni ukumbusho na manufaa kwa walioko nyikani.

We have made it a reminder and provision for the travelers,

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٧٤

Basi litakase jina la Mola wako Mlezi aliye Mkuu.

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.

۞ فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَوَٰقِعِ ٱلنُّجُومِ ٧٥

Basi naapa kwa maanguko ya nyota,

Then I swear by the setting of the stars,

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَقَسَمٌۭ لَّوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عَظِيمٌ ٧٦

Na hakika bila ya shaka hichi ni kiapo kikubwa, laiti mngeli jua!

And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great.

إِنَّهُۥ لَقُرْءَانٌۭ كَرِيمٌۭ ٧٧

Hakika hii bila ya shaka ni Qur'ani Tukufu,

Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an

فِى كِتَٰبٍۢ مَّكْنُونٍۢ ٧٨

Katika Kitabu kilicho hifadhiwa.

In a Register well-protected;

لَّا يَمَسُّهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْمُطَهَّرُونَ ٧٩

Hapana akigusaye ila walio takaswa.

None touch it except the purified.

تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٨٠

Ni uteremsho unao toka kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.

[It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.

أَفَبِهَٰذَا ٱلْحَدِيثِ أَنتُم مُّدْهِنُونَ ٨١

Ni maneno haya ndiyo nyinyi mnayapuuza?

Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent

وَتَجْعَلُونَ رِزْقَكُمْ أَنَّكُمْ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٨٢

Na badala ya kushukuru kwa riziki yenu mnafanya kuwa mnakadhibisha?

And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]?

فَلَوْلَآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلْحُلْقُومَ ٨٣

Yawaje basi itakapo fika roho kwenye koo,

Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat

وَأَنتُمْ حِينَئِذٍۢ تَنظُرُونَ ٨٤

Na nyinyi wakati huo mnatazama!

And you are at that time looking on -

وَنَحْنُ أَقْرَبُ إِلَيْهِ مِنكُمْ وَلَٰكِن لَّا تُبْصِرُونَ ٨٥

Na Sisi tuko karibu zaidi naye kuliko nyinyi.

And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see -

فَلَوْلَآ إِن كُنتُمْ غَيْرَ مَدِينِينَ ٨٦

Na lau kuwa nyinyi hamumo katika mamlaka yangu,

Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed,

تَرْجِعُونَهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ٨٧

Kwanini hamuirudishi hiyo roho, ikiwa nyinyi mnasema kweli?

Bring it back, if you should be truthful?

فَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ٨٨

Basi akiwa miongoni mwa walio karibishwa,

And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah,

فَرَوْحٌۭ وَرَيْحَانٌۭ وَجَنَّتُ نَعِيمٍۢ ٨٩

Basi ni raha, na manukato, na Bustani zenye neema.

Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure.

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٩٠

Na akiwa katika watu wa upande wa kulia,

And if he was of the companions of the right,

فَسَلَٰمٌۭ لَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَٰبِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٩١

Basi ni Salamu kwako uliye miongoni mwa watu wa upande wa kulia.

Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right."

وَأَمَّآ إِن كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٩٢

Na ama akiwa katika walio kadhibisha wapotovu,

But if he was of the deniers [who were] astray,

فَنُزُلٌۭ مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ ٩٣

Basi karamu yake ni maji yanayo chemka,

Then [for him is] accommodation of scalding water

وَتَصْلِيَةُ جَحِيمٍ ٩٤

Na kutiwa Motoni.

And burning in Hellfire

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ حَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ٩٥

Hakika hii ndiyo haki yenye yakini.

Indeed, this is the true certainty,

فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٩٦

Basi litakase jina la Mola wako Mlezi aliye Mkubwa.

So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great.
