وَٱلصَّٰٓفَّٰتِ صَفًّۭا ١
Naapa kwa wanao jipanga kwa safu.
By those [angels] lined up in rows

الصَّافَّات
As-Saaffaat · As-Saaffaat
Maana: "Wanaojipanga Safu"
BISMILLAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHIIM
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu
فَٱلزَّٰجِرَٰتِ زَجْرًۭا ٢
Na kwa wenye kukataza mabaya.
And those who drive [the clouds]
فَٱلتَّٰلِيَٰتِ ذِكْرًا ٣
Na kwa wenye kusoma Ukumbusho.
And those who recite the message,
إِنَّ إِلَٰهَكُمْ لَوَٰحِدٌۭ ٤
Hakika Mungu wenu bila ya shaka ni Mmoja.
Indeed, your God is One,
رَّبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ ٥
Mola Mlezi wa mbingu na ardhi, na yaliyomo kati yao, na ni Mola Mlezi wa mashariki zote.
Lord of the heavens and the earth and that between them and Lord of the sunrises.
إِنَّا زَيَّنَّا ٱلسَّمَآءَ ٱلدُّنْيَا بِزِينَةٍ ٱلْكَوَاكِبِ ٦
Hakika Sisi tumeipamba mbingu ya karibu kwa pambo la nyota.
Indeed, We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment of stars
وَحِفْظًۭا مِّن كُلِّ شَيْطَٰنٍۢ مَّارِدٍۢ ٧
Na kulinda na kila shet'ani a'si.
And as protection against every rebellious devil
لَّا يَسَّمَّعُونَ إِلَى ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ وَيُقْذَفُونَ مِن كُلِّ جَانِبٍۢ ٨
Wasiweze kuwasikiliza viumbe watukufu. Na wanafukuzwa huko kila upande.
[So] they may not listen to the exalted assembly [of angels] and are pelted from every side,
دُحُورًۭا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌۭ وَاصِبٌ ٩
Wakifurushwa. Na wanayo adhabu ya kudumu.
Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment,
إِلَّا مَنْ خَطِفَ ٱلْخَطْفَةَ فَأَتْبَعَهُۥ شِهَابٌۭ ثَاقِبٌۭ ١٠
Isipo kuwa anaye nyakua kitu kidogo, na mara humfwatia kimondo kinacho ng'ara.
Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness].
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَهُمْ أَشَدُّ خَلْقًا أَم مَّنْ خَلَقْنَآ ۚ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّن طِينٍۢ لَّازِبٍۭ ١١
Hebu waulize: Je! Wao ni wenye umbo gumu zaidi au hao wengine tulio waumba. Hakika Sisi tuliwaumba wao kwa udongo unao nata.
Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay.
بَلْ عَجِبْتَ وَيَسْخَرُونَ ١٢
Bali unastaajabu, na wao wanafanya maskhara.
But you wonder, while they mock,
وَإِذَا ذُكِّرُوا۟ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ ١٣
Na wanapo kumbushwa hawakumbuki.
And when they are reminded, they remember not.
وَإِذَا رَأَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يَسْتَسْخِرُونَ ١٤
Na wanapo ona Ishara, wanafanya maskhara.
And when they see a sign, they ridicule
وَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا سِحْرٌۭ مُّبِينٌ ١٥
Na husema: Haya si chochote ila ni uchawi tu ulio dhaahiri.
And say, "This is not but obvious magic.
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ ١٦
Ati tukisha kufa na tukawa udongo na mifupa ndio kweli tutafufuliwa?
When we have died and become dust and bones, are we indeed to be resurrected?
أَوَءَابَآؤُنَا ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ ١٧
Hata baba zetu wa zamani?
And our forefathers [as well]?"
قُلْ نَعَمْ وَأَنتُمْ دَٰخِرُونَ ١٨
Sema: Naam! Hali nanyi ni madhalili.
Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible."
فَإِنَّمَا هِىَ زَجْرَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ يَنظُرُونَ ١٩
Huko utapigwa ukelele mmoja tu! Na hapo ndio wataona!
It will be only one shout, and at once they will be observing.
وَقَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلدِّينِ ٢٠
Watasema: Ole wetu! Hii ndiyo Siku ya Malipo.
They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense."
هَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْفَصْلِ ٱلَّذِى كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٢١
Hii ndiyo Siku ya Hukumu mliyo kuwa mkiikadhibisha.
[They will be told], "This is the Day of Judgement which you used to deny."
۞ ٱحْشُرُوا۟ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ وَأَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْبُدُونَ ٢٢
Wakusanyeni walio dhulumu, na wake zao, na hao walio kuwa wakiwaabudu -
[The angels will be ordered], "Gather those who committed wrong, their kinds, and what they used to worship
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ فَٱهْدُوهُمْ إِلَىٰ صِرَٰطِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٢٣
Badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Waongozeni njia ya Jahannamu!
Other than Allah, and guide them to the path of Hellfire
وَقِفُوهُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُم مَّسْـُٔولُونَ ٢٤
Na wasimamisheni. Hakika hao watasailiwa:
And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned."
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنَاصَرُونَ ٢٥
Mna nini? Mbona hamsaidiani?
[They will be asked], "What is [wrong] with you? Why do you not help each other?"
بَلْ هُمُ ٱلْيَوْمَ مُسْتَسْلِمُونَ ٢٦
Bali hii leo, watasalimu amri.
But they, that Day, are in surrender.
وَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ٢٧
Watakabiliana wao kwa wao kuulizana.
And they will approach one another blaming each other.
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَأْتُونَنَا عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ ٢٨
Watasema: Kwa hakika nyinyi mlikuwa mkitujia upande wa kulia.
They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right."
قَالُوا۟ بَل لَّمْ تَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ٢٩
Watasema (wakubwa): Bali nyinyi wenyewe hamkuwa Waumini.
The oppressors will say, "Rather, you [yourselves] were not believers,
وَمَا كَانَ لَنَا عَلَيْكُم مِّن سُلْطَٰنٍۭ ۖ بَلْ كُنتُمْ قَوْمًۭا طَٰغِينَ ٣٠
Sisi hatukuwa na mamlaka juu yenu, bali nyinyi wenyewe mlikuwa wapotovu.
And we had over you no authority, but you were a transgressing people.
فَحَقَّ عَلَيْنَا قَوْلُ رَبِّنَآ ۖ إِنَّا لَذَآئِقُونَ ٣١
Basi hukumu ya Mola wetu Mlezi imekwisha tuthibitikia. Hakika bila ya shaka tutaonja tu adhabu.
So the word of our Lord has come into effect upon us; indeed, we will taste [punishment].
فَأَغْوَيْنَٰكُمْ إِنَّا كُنَّا غَٰوِينَ ٣٢
Tulikupotezeni kwa sababu sisi wenyewe tulikuwa wapotovu.
And we led you to deviation; indeed, we were deviators."
فَإِنَّهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُشْتَرِكُونَ ٣٣
Basi wao kwa hakika siku hiyo watashirikiana katika adhabu pamoja.
So indeed they, that Day, will be sharing in the punishment.
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٣٤
Hivyo ndivyo tutakavyo wafanyia wakosefu.
Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ٣٥
Wao walipo kuwa wakiambiwa La ilaha illa 'Llahu Hapana mungu ila Mwenyezi Mungu tu, wakijivuna.
Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant
وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍۢ مَّجْنُونٍۭ ٣٦
Na wakisema: Hivyo sisi tuiache miungu yetu kwa ajili ya huyu mtunga mashairi mwendawazimu?
And were saying, "Are we to leave our gods for a mad poet?"
بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٣٧
Bali huyu amekuja kwa Haki, na amewasadikisha Mitume.
Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.
إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ ٣٨
Hakika nyinyi bila ya shaka mtaionja adhabu chungu.
Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٣٩
Wala hamlipwi ila hayo mliyo kuwa mkiyafanya.
And you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ٤٠
Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio khitariwa.
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ رِزْقٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ ٤١
Hao ndio watakao pata riziki maalumu,
Those will have a provision determined -
فَوَٰكِهُ ۖ وَهُم مُّكْرَمُونَ ٤٢
Matunda, nao watahishimiwa.
Fruits; and they will be honored
فِى جَنَّٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٤٣
Katika Bustani za neema.
In gardens of pleasure
عَلَىٰ سُرُرٍۢ مُّتَقَٰبِلِينَ ٤٤
Wako juu ya viti wamekabiliana.
On thrones facing one another.
يُطَافُ عَلَيْهِم بِكَأْسٍۢ مِّن مَّعِينٍۭ ٤٥
Wanazungushiwa kikombe chenye kinywaji cha chemchem
There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring,
بَيْضَآءَ لَذَّةٍۢ لِّلشَّٰرِبِينَ ٤٦
Kinywaji cheupe, kitamu kwa wanywao.
White and delicious to the drinkers;
لَا فِيهَا غَوْلٌۭ وَلَا هُمْ عَنْهَا يُنزَفُونَ ٤٧
Hakina madhara, wala hakiwaleweshi.
No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated.
وَعِندَهُمْ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ عِينٌۭ ٤٨
Na watakuwa nao wanawake wenye macho ya staha mazuri.
And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes,
كَأَنَّهُنَّ بَيْضٌۭ مَّكْنُونٌۭ ٤٩
Hao wanawake kama mayai yaliyo hifadhika.
As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected.
فَأَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَعْضٍۢ يَتَسَآءَلُونَ ٥٠
Waingie kuulizana wenyewe kwa wenyewe.
And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other.
قَالَ قَآئِلٌۭ مِّنْهُمْ إِنِّى كَانَ لِى قَرِينٌۭ ٥١
Aseme msemaji mmoja miongoni mwao: Hakika mimi nalikuwa na rafiki
A speaker among them will say, "Indeed, I had a companion [on earth]
يَقُولُ أَءِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُصَدِّقِينَ ٥٢
Aliye kuwa akinambia: Hivyo wewe ni katika wanao sadiki
Who would say, 'Are you indeed of those who believe
أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًۭا وَعِظَٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَدِينُونَ ٥٣
Ati tukisha kufa tukawa udongo na mafupa, ndio tutalipwa na kuhisabiwa?
That when we have died and become dust and bones, we will indeed be recompensed?'"
قَالَ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّطَّلِعُونَ ٥٤
Atasema: Je! Nyie mnawaona?
He will say, "Would you [care to] look?"
فَٱطَّلَعَ فَرَءَاهُ فِى سَوَآءِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٥٥
Basi atachungulia amwone katikati ya Jahannamu.
And he will look and see him in the midst of the Hellfire.
قَالَ تَٱللَّهِ إِن كِدتَّ لَتُرْدِينِ ٥٦
Atasema: Wallahi! Ulikaribia kunipoteza.
He will say, "By Allah, you almost ruined me.
وَلَوْلَا نِعْمَةُ رَبِّى لَكُنتُ مِنَ ٱلْمُحْضَرِينَ ٥٧
Na lau kuwa si neema ya Mola wangu Mlezi bila ya shaka ningeli kuwa miongoni mwa walio hudhurishwa.
If not for the favor of my Lord, I would have been of those brought in [to Hell].
أَفَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَيِّتِينَ ٥٨
Je! Sisi hatutakufa,
Then, are we not to die
إِلَّا مَوْتَتَنَا ٱلْأُولَىٰ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ٥٩
Isipo kuwa kifo chetu cha kwanza? Wala sisi hatutaadhibiwa.
Except for our first death, and we will not be punished?"
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْعَظِيمُ ٦٠
Hakika huku bila ya shaka ndiko kufuzu kukubwa.
Indeed, this is the great attainment.
لِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا فَلْيَعْمَلِ ٱلْعَٰمِلُونَ ٦١
Kwa mfano wa haya nawatende watendao.
For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.
أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ نُّزُلًا أَمْ شَجَرَةُ ٱلزَّقُّومِ ٦٢
Je! Kukaribishwa hivi si ndio bora, au mti wa Zaqqum?
Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum?
إِنَّا جَعَلْنَٰهَا فِتْنَةًۭ لِّلظَّٰلِمِينَ ٦٣
Hakika Sisi tumeufanya huo kuwa ni mateso kwa walio dhulumu.
Indeed, We have made it a torment for the wrongdoers.
إِنَّهَا شَجَرَةٌۭ تَخْرُجُ فِىٓ أَصْلِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٦٤
Hakika huo ni mti unao toka katikati ya Jahannamu.
Indeed, it is a tree issuing from the bottom of the Hellfire,
طَلْعُهَا كَأَنَّهُۥ رُءُوسُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينِ ٦٥
Mashada ya matunda yake kama kwamba vichwa vya mashet'ani.
Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils.
فَإِنَّهُمْ لَءَاكِلُونَ مِنْهَا فَمَالِـُٔونَ مِنْهَا ٱلْبُطُونَ ٦٦
Basi hakika bila ya shaka hao watayala hayo, na wajaze matumbo.
And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ لَهُمْ عَلَيْهَا لَشَوْبًۭا مِّنْ حَمِيمٍۢ ٦٧
Kisha juu yake wanyweshwe mchanganyo wa maji yamoto yaliyo chemka.
Then indeed, they will have after it a mixture of scalding water.
ثُمَّ إِنَّ مَرْجِعَهُمْ لَإِلَى ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٦٨
Kisha hakika marejeo yao bila ya shaka yatakuwa kwenye Jahannamu.
Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire.
إِنَّهُمْ أَلْفَوْا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ ضَآلِّينَ ٦٩
Hakika waliwakuta baba zao wamepotea.
Indeed they found their fathers astray.
فَهُمْ عَلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِهِمْ يُهْرَعُونَ ٧٠
Na wao wakafanya haraka kufuata nyayo zao.
So they hastened [to follow] in their footsteps.
وَلَقَدْ ضَلَّ قَبْلَهُمْ أَكْثَرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٧١
Na bila ya shaka walikwisha potea kabla yao wengi wa watu wa zamani.
And there had already strayed before them most of the former peoples,
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ ٧٢
Na Sisi hakika tuliwapelekea waonyaji.
And We had already sent among them warners.
فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ٧٣
Basi hebu angalia ulikuwaje mwisho wa walio onywa.
Then look how was the end of those who were warned -
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ٧٤
Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio khitariwa.
But not the chosen servants of Allah.
وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌۭ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ ٧٥
Na hakika Nuhu alitwita, na Sisi ni bora wa waitikiaji.
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders.
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٧٦
Na tulimwokoa yeye na ahali zake kutokana na msiba mkubwa.
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
وَجَعَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُۥ هُمُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ ٧٧
Na tuliwajaalia dhuriya zake ndio wenye kubakia.
And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth]
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٧٨
Na tukamwachia (sifa njema) kwa walio kuja baadaye.
And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ نُوحٍۢ فِى ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٧٩
Iwe salama kwa Nuhu ulimwenguni kote!
"Peace upon Noah among the worlds."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ٨٠
Kwa hakika hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao fanya mema.
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٨١
Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ٨٢
Kisha tukawazamisha wale wengine.
Then We drowned the disbelievers.
۞ وَإِنَّ مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ لَإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٨٣
Na hakika Ibrahim alikuwa katika kundi lake,
And indeed, among his kind was Abraham,
إِذْ جَآءَ رَبَّهُۥ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍ ٨٤
Alipo mjia Mola wake Mlezi kwa moyo mzima.
When he came to his Lord with a sound heart
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَاذَا تَعْبُدُونَ ٨٥
Alimwambia baba yake na watu wake: Mnaabudu nini?
[And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?
أَئِفْكًا ءَالِهَةًۭ دُونَ ٱللَّهِ تُرِيدُونَ ٨٦
Kwa kuzua tu mnataka miungu mingine badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu?
Is it falsehood [as] gods other than Allah you desire?
فَمَا ظَنُّكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٨٧
Mnamdhania nini Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote?
Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?"
فَنَظَرَ نَظْرَةًۭ فِى ٱلنُّجُومِ ٨٨
Kisha akapiga jicho kutazama nyota.
And he cast a look at the stars
فَقَالَ إِنِّى سَقِيمٌۭ ٨٩
Akasema: Hakika mimi ni mgonjwa!
And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill."
فَتَوَلَّوْا۟ عَنْهُ مُدْبِرِينَ ٩٠
Nao wakamwacha, wakampa kisogo.
So they turned away from him, departing.
فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ ءَالِهَتِهِمْ فَقَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ ٩١
Basi akaiendea miungu yao kwa siri, akaiambia: Mbona hamli?
Then he turned to their gods and said, "Do you not eat?
مَا لَكُمْ لَا تَنطِقُونَ ٩٢
Mna nini hata hamsemi?
What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?"
فَرَاغَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضَرْبًۢا بِٱلْيَمِينِ ٩٣
Kisha akaigeukia kuipiga kwa mkono wa kulia.
And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand.
فَأَقْبَلُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِ يَزِفُّونَ ٩٤
Basi wakamjia upesi upesi.
Then the people came toward him, hastening.
قَالَ أَتَعْبُدُونَ مَا تَنْحِتُونَ ٩٥
Akasema: Hivyo mnaviabudu vitu mnavyo vichonga wenyewe?
He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve,
وَٱللَّهُ خَلَقَكُمْ وَمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ٩٦
Na hali Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye kuumbeni nyinyi na hivyo mnavyo vifanya!
While Allah created you and that which you do?"
قَالُوا۟ ٱبْنُوا۟ لَهُۥ بُنْيَٰنًۭا فَأَلْقُوهُ فِى ٱلْجَحِيمِ ٩٧
Wakasema: Mjengeeni jengo, na kisha mtupeni motoni humo!
They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire."
فَأَرَادُوا۟ بِهِۦ كَيْدًۭا فَجَعَلْنَٰهُمُ ٱلْأَسْفَلِينَ ٩٨
Basi walitaka kumfanyia vitimbi, lakini tukawafanya wao ndio wa chini.
And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased.
وَقَالَ إِنِّى ذَاهِبٌ إِلَىٰ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ٩٩
Na akasema: Hakika mimi nahama, nakwenda kwa Mola wangu Mlezi; Yeye ataniongoa.
And [then] he said, "Indeed, I will go to [where I am ordered by] my Lord; He will guide me.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ١٠٠
Ewe Mola wangu Mlezi! Nitunukie aliye miongoni mwa watenda mema.
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
فَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِغُلَٰمٍ حَلِيمٍۢ ١٠١
Basi tukambashiria mwana aliye mpole.
So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy.
فَلَمَّا بَلَغَ مَعَهُ ٱلسَّعْىَ قَالَ يَٰبُنَىَّ إِنِّىٓ أَرَىٰ فِى ٱلْمَنَامِ أَنِّىٓ أَذْبَحُكَ فَٱنظُرْ مَاذَا تَرَىٰ ۚ قَالَ يَٰٓأَبَتِ ٱفْعَلْ مَا تُؤْمَرُ ۖ سَتَجِدُنِىٓ إِن شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰبِرِينَ ١٠٢
Basi alipo fika makamo ya kwenda na kurudi pamoja naye, alimwambia: Ewe mwanangu! Hakika mimi nimeona usingizini kuwa ninakuchinja. Basi angalia wewe, waonaje? Akasema: Ewe baba yangu! Tenda unavyo amrishwa, utanikuta mimi, Inshallah, katika wanao subiri.
And when he reached with him [the age of] exertion, he said, "O my son, indeed I have seen in a dream that I [must] sacrifice you, so see what you think." He said, "O my father, do as you are commanded. You will find me, if Allah wills, of the steadfast."
فَلَمَّآ أَسْلَمَا وَتَلَّهُۥ لِلْجَبِينِ ١٠٣
Basi wote wawili walipo jisalimisha, na akamlaza juu ya kipaji.
And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead,
وَنَٰدَيْنَٰهُ أَن يَٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ١٠٤
Tulimwita: Ewe Ibrahim!
We called to him, "O Abraham,
قَدْ صَدَّقْتَ ٱلرُّءْيَآ ۚ إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ١٠٥
Umekwisha itimiliza ndoto. Hakika hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao tenda mema.
You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَهُوَ ٱلْبَلَٰٓؤُا۟ ٱلْمُبِينُ ١٠٦
Hakika haya ni majaribio yaliyo dhaahiri.
Indeed, this was the clear trial.
وَفَدَيْنَٰهُ بِذِبْحٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ١٠٧
Basi tukamtolea fidia kwa dhabihu mtukufu.
And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice,
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ١٠٨
Na tukamwachia (sifa njema) kwa watu walio kuja baadaye.
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ١٠٩
Iwe salama kwa Ibrahim!
"Peace upon Abraham."
كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ١١٠
Hivi ndivyo tunavyo walipa wanao fanya mema.
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١١
Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَبَشَّرْنَٰهُ بِإِسْحَٰقَ نَبِيًّۭا مِّنَ ٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ١١٢
Na tukambashiria kuzaliwa Is-haqa, naye ni Nabii miongoni mwa watu wema.
And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous.
وَبَٰرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ وَعَلَىٰٓ إِسْحَٰقَ ۚ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا مُحْسِنٌۭ وَظَالِمٌۭ لِّنَفْسِهِۦ مُبِينٌۭ ١١٣
Na tukambarikia yeye na Is-haqa. Na miongoni mwa dhuriya zao walitokea wema na wenye kudhulumu nafsi zao waziwazi.
And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself.
وَلَقَدْ مَنَنَّا عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ١١٤
Na kwa hakika tuliwafanyia hisani Musa na Haruni.
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron.
وَنَجَّيْنَٰهُمَا وَقَوْمَهُمَا مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ١١٥
Na tukawaokoa wao na watu wao kutokana na dhiki kubwa.
And We saved them and their people from the great affliction,
وَنَصَرْنَٰهُمْ فَكَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ١١٦
Na tukawanusuru; na wakawa wao ndio wenye kushinda.
And We supported them so it was they who overcame.
وَءَاتَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلْكِتَٰبَ ٱلْمُسْتَبِينَ ١١٧
Na tukawapa wawili hao Kitabu kinacho bainisha.
And We gave them the explicit Scripture,
وَهَدَيْنَٰهُمَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ١١٨
Na tukawaongoa kwenye Njia Iliyo Nyooka.
And We guided them on the straight path.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِمَا فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ١١٩
Na tukawaachia (sifa njema) katika watu walio kuja baadaye.
And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ١٢٠
Iwe salama kwa Musa na Haruni!
"Peace upon Moses and Aaron."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ١٢١
Hakika hivyo ndivyo tunavyo walipa walio wema.
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُمَا مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١٢٢
Hakika wawili hao ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
Indeed, they were of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ إِلْيَاسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٢٣
Na hakika Ilyas bila ya shaka alikuwa miongoni mwa Mitume.
And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers,
إِذْ قَالَ لِقَوْمِهِۦٓ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٢٤
Alipo waambia watu wake: Hamwogopi?
When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah?
أَتَدْعُونَ بَعْلًۭا وَتَذَرُونَ أَحْسَنَ ٱلْخَٰلِقِينَ ١٢٥
Mnamwomba Baa'li na mnamwacha Mbora wa waumbaji,
Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators -
ٱللَّهَ رَبَّكُمْ وَرَبَّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٢٦
Mwenyezi Mungu, Mola Mlezi wenu na Mola Mlezi wa baba zenu wa zamani?
Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?"
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَإِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ١٢٧
Wakamkadhibisha. Basi kwa hakika watahudhurishwa;
And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment],
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ١٢٨
Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio safishwa.
Except the chosen servants of Allah.
وَتَرَكْنَا عَلَيْهِ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ١٢٩
Na tumemwachia (sifa nzuri) kwa walio kuja baadaye.
And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations:
سَلَٰمٌ عَلَىٰٓ إِلْ يَاسِينَ ١٣٠
Iwe salama kwa Ilyas.
"Peace upon Elias."
إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ ١٣١
Hakika hivyo ndivyo tunavyo walipa walio wema.
Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.
إِنَّهُۥ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١٣٢
Hakika yeye ni katika waja wetu walio amini.
Indeed, he was of Our believing servants.
وَإِنَّ لُوطًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٣٣
Na hakika Lut'i bila ya shaka ni miongoni mwa Mitume.
And indeed, Lot was among the messengers.
إِذْ نَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ١٣٤
Tulipo mwokoa yeye na ahali zake wote,
[So mention] when We saved him and his family, all,
إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ١٣٥
Isipo kuwa mwanamke mkongwe katika wale walio bakia nyuma.
Except his wife among those who remained [with the evildoers].
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ١٣٦
Kisha tukawaangamiza wale wengineo.
Then We destroyed the others.
وَإِنَّكُمْ لَتَمُرُّونَ عَلَيْهِم مُّصْبِحِينَ ١٣٧
Na hakika nyinyi mnawapitia wakati wa asubuhi,
And indeed, you pass by them in the morning
وَبِٱلَّيْلِ ۗ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ ١٣٨
Na usiku. Basi je! Hamyatii akilini?
And at night. Then will you not use reason?
وَإِنَّ يُونُسَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٣٩
Na hakika Yunus alikuwa miongoni mwa Mitume.
And indeed, Jonah was among the messengers.
إِذْ أَبَقَ إِلَى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ١٤٠
Alipo kimbia katika jahazi lilio sheheni.
[Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship.
فَسَاهَمَ فَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُدْحَضِينَ ١٤١
Akaingia katika kupigiwa kura, na akawa katika walio shindwa.
And he drew lots and was among the losers.
فَٱلْتَقَمَهُ ٱلْحُوتُ وَهُوَ مُلِيمٌۭ ١٤٢
Samaki akammeza hali ya kuwa ni mwenye kulaumiwa.
Then the fish swallowed him, while he was blameworthy.
فَلَوْلَآ أَنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَبِّحِينَ ١٤٣
Na ingeli kuwa hakuwa katika wanao mtakasa Mwenyezi Mungu,
And had he not been of those who exalt Allah,
لَلَبِثَ فِى بَطْنِهِۦٓ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ يُبْعَثُونَ ١٤٤
Bila ya shaka angeli kaa ndani yake mpaka siku ya kufufuliwa.
He would have remained inside its belly until the Day they are resurrected.
۞ فَنَبَذْنَٰهُ بِٱلْعَرَآءِ وَهُوَ سَقِيمٌۭ ١٤٥
Lakini tulimtupa ufukweni patupu, hali yu mgonjwa.
But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill.
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةًۭ مِّن يَقْطِينٍۢ ١٤٦
Na tukauotesha juu yake mmea wa kabila ya mung'unye.
And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine.
وَأَرْسَلْنَٰهُ إِلَىٰ مِا۟ئَةِ أَلْفٍ أَوْ يَزِيدُونَ ١٤٧
Na tulimtuma kwa watu laki moja au zaidi.
And We sent him to [his people of] a hundred thousand or more.
فَـَٔامَنُوا۟ فَمَتَّعْنَٰهُمْ إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ ١٤٨
Basi wakaamini, na tukawastarehesha kwa muda.
And they believed, so We gave them enjoyment [of life] for a time.
فَٱسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ ٱلْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ ٱلْبَنُونَ ١٤٩
Basi waulize: Ati Mola wako Mlezi ndiye mwenye watoto wa kike, na wao wanao watoto wa kiume?
So inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Does your Lord have daughters while they have sons?
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةَ إِنَٰثًۭا وَهُمْ شَٰهِدُونَ ١٥٠
Au tumewaumba Malaika kuwa ni wanawake, na wao wakashuhudia?
Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?"
أَلَآ إِنَّهُم مِّنْ إِفْكِهِمْ لَيَقُولُونَ ١٥١
Ati ni kwa uzushi wao ndio wanasema:
Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say,
وَلَدَ ٱللَّهُ وَإِنَّهُمْ لَكَٰذِبُونَ ١٥٢
Mwenyezi Mungu amezaa! Ama hakika bila ya shaka hao ni waongo!
" Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars.
أَصْطَفَى ٱلْبَنَاتِ عَلَى ٱلْبَنِينَ ١٥٣
Ati amekhiari watoto wa kike kuliko wanaume?
Has He chosen daughters over sons?
مَا لَكُمْ كَيْفَ تَحْكُمُونَ ١٥٤
Mna nini? Mnahukumu vipi nyinyi?
What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement?
أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ ١٥٥
Hamkumbuki?
Then will you not be reminded?
أَمْ لَكُمْ سُلْطَٰنٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ١٥٦
Au mnayo hoja iliyo wazi?
Or do you have a clear authority?
فَأْتُوا۟ بِكِتَٰبِكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ١٥٧
Basi leteni Kitabu chenu kama mnasema kweli.
Then produce your scripture, if you should be truthful.
وَجَعَلُوا۟ بَيْنَهُۥ وَبَيْنَ ٱلْجِنَّةِ نَسَبًۭا ۚ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمَتِ ٱلْجِنَّةُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمُحْضَرُونَ ١٥٨
Na wameweka makhusiano ya nasaba baina yake na majini; na majini wamekwisha jua bila ya shaka kuwa wao watahudhurishwa.
And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment].
سُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ١٥٩
Subhana 'Llah Ametakasika Mwenyezi Mungu na hayo wanayo msingizia.
Exalted is Allah above what they describe,
إِلَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ١٦٠
Isipo kuwa waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu walio safishwa.
Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin].
فَإِنَّكُمْ وَمَا تَعْبُدُونَ ١٦١
Basi hakika nyinyi na mnao waabudu
So indeed, you [disbelievers] and whatever you worship,
مَآ أَنتُمْ عَلَيْهِ بِفَٰتِنِينَ ١٦٢
Hamwezi kuwapoteza
You cannot tempt [anyone] away from Him
إِلَّا مَنْ هُوَ صَالِ ٱلْجَحِيمِ ١٦٣
Isipo kuwa yule atakaye ingia Motoni.
Except he who is to [enter and] burn in the Hellfire.
وَمَا مِنَّآ إِلَّا لَهُۥ مَقَامٌۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ ١٦٤
Na hapana katika sisi ila anapo mahali pake maalumu.
[The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position.
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلصَّآفُّونَ ١٦٥
Na hakika bila ya shaka sisi ndio wajipangao safu.
And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer].
وَإِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْمُسَبِّحُونَ ١٦٦
Na hakika sisi ndio wenye kusabihi kutakasa.
And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah."
وَإِن كَانُوا۟ لَيَقُولُونَ ١٦٧
Na walikuwapo walio kuwa wakisema:
And indeed, the disbelievers used to say,
لَوْ أَنَّ عِندَنَا ذِكْرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٦٨
Tungeli kuwa na Ukumbusho kama wa watu wa zamani,
"If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples,
لَكُنَّا عِبَادَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ ١٦٩
Bila ya shaka tungeli kuwa ni waja wa Mwenyezi Mungu wenye ikhlasi.
We would have been the chosen servants of Allah."
فَكَفَرُوا۟ بِهِۦ ۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ ١٧٠
Lakini waliukataa. Basi watakuja jua.
But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know.
وَلَقَدْ سَبَقَتْ كَلِمَتُنَا لِعِبَادِنَا ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٧١
Na bila ya shaka neno letu lilikwisha tangulia kwa waja wetu walio tumwa.
And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers,
إِنَّهُمْ لَهُمُ ٱلْمَنصُورُونَ ١٧٢
Ya kuwa wao bila ya shaka ndio watakao nusuriwa.
[That] indeed, they would be those given victory
وَإِنَّ جُندَنَا لَهُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ ١٧٣
Na kwamba jeshi letu ndilo litakalo shinda.
And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome.
فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ ١٧٤
Basi waachilie mbali kwa muda.
So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ١٧٥
Na watazame, nao wataona.
And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see.
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ١٧٦
Je! Wanaihimiza adhabu yetu?
Then for Our punishment are they impatient?
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَآءَ صَبَاحُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ١٧٧
Basi itakapo shuka uwanjani kwao, itakuwa asubuhi mbaya kwa walio onywa.
But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned.
وَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ حَتَّىٰ حِينٍۢ ١٧٨
Na waache kwa muda.
And leave them for a time.
وَأَبْصِرْ فَسَوْفَ يُبْصِرُونَ ١٧٩
Na tazama, na wao wataona.
And see, for they are going to see.
سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّكَ رَبِّ ٱلْعِزَّةِ عَمَّا يَصِفُونَ ١٨٠
Subhana Rabbi'l'Izzat Ametakasika Mola Mlezi Mwenye enzi na yale wanayo mzulia.
Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe.
وَسَلَٰمٌ عَلَى ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٨١
Na Salamu juu ya Mitume.
And peace upon the messengers.
وَٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٨٢
Na sifa njema zote ni za Mwenyezi Mungu Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.
