يسٓ ١

Ya-Sin (Y. S.).

Ya, Seen.

وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ ٱلْحَكِيمِ ٢

Kwa Haki ya Qur'ani yenye hikima!

By the wise Qur'an.

إِنَّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٣

Hakika wewe ni miongoni mwa walio tumwa,

Indeed you, [O Muhammad], are from among the messengers,

عَلَىٰ صِرَٰطٍۢ مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ ٤

Juu ya Njia Iliyo Nyooka.

On a straight path.

تَنزِيلَ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٥

Uteremsho wa Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye kurehemu.

[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

لِتُنذِرَ قَوْمًۭا مَّآ أُنذِرَ ءَابَآؤُهُمْ فَهُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ ٦

Ili uwaonye watu ambao baba zao hawakuonywa, basi wao wamekuwa wenye kughafilika.

That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.

لَقَدْ حَقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَىٰٓ أَكْثَرِهِمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٧

Bila ya shaka kauli imekwisha thibiti juu ya wengi katika wao, kwa hivyo hawaamini.

Already the word has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.

إِنَّا جَعَلْنَا فِىٓ أَعْنَٰقِهِمْ أَغْلَٰلًۭا فَهِىَ إِلَى ٱلْأَذْقَانِ فَهُم مُّقْمَحُونَ ٨

Tumeweka makongwa shingoni mwao, yakawafika videvuni. Kwa hivyo vichwa vyao viko juu tu.

Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.

وَجَعَلْنَا مِنۢ بَيْنِ أَيْدِيهِمْ سَدًّۭا وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ سَدًّۭا فَأَغْشَيْنَٰهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ ٩

Tumeweka kizuizi mbele yao, na kizuizi nyuma yao, na tumewafunika macho yao; kwa hivyo hawaoni.

And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.

وَسَوَآءٌ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ أَمْ لَمْ تُنذِرْهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ ١٠

Ni sawa sawa kwao ukiwaonya au usiwaonye, hawataamini.

And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.

إِنَّمَا تُنذِرُ مَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَخَشِىَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنَ بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢ وَأَجْرٍۢ كَرِيمٍ ١١

Hakika wewe unamwonya mwenye kufuata ukumbusho, na akamcha Arrahman, Mwingi wa Rehema, kwa ghaibu. Basi mbashirie huyo msamaha na ujira mwema.

You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.

إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا۟ وَءَاثَٰرَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلَّ شَىْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَٰهُ فِىٓ إِمَامٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ١٢

Hakika Sisi tunawafufua wafu, na tunayaandika wanayo yatanguliza, na wanayo yaacha nyuma. Na kila kitu tumekihifadhi katika daftari asli lenye kubainisha.

Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.

وَٱضْرِبْ لَهُم مَّثَلًا أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْقَرْيَةِ إِذْ جَآءَهَا ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ١٣

Na wapigie mfano wa wakaazi wa mji walipo wafikia walio tumwa.

And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -

إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍۢ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ ١٤

Tulipo watumia wawili, wakawakanusha. Basi tukawazidishia nguvu kwa mwingine wa tatu. Wakasema: Hakika sisi tumetumwa kwenu.

When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened them with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."

قَالُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا تَكْذِبُونَ ١٥

Wakasema: Nyinyi si chochote ila ni watu kama sisi. Na Mwingi wa Rehema hakuteremsha kitu. Nyinyi mnasema uwongo tu.

They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."

قَالُوا۟ رَبُّنَا يَعْلَمُ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمُرْسَلُونَ ١٦

Wakasema: Mola wetu Mlezi anajua kwamba hakika sisi tumetumwa kwenu.

They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,

وَمَا عَلَيْنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْبَلَٰغُ ٱلْمُبِينُ ١٧

Wala si juu yetu ila kufikisha ujumbe ulio wazi.

And we are not responsible except for clear notification."

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا تَطَيَّرْنَا بِكُمْ ۖ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهُوا۟ لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم مِّنَّا عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌۭ ١٨

Wakasema: Sisi tumeagua kuwa nyinyi ni wakorofi. Ikiwa hamtaacha basi kwa yakini tutakupigeni mawe, na mtapata adhabu chungu kutoka kwetu.

They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."

قَالُوا۟ طَٰٓئِرُكُم مَّعَكُمْ ۚ أَئِن ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌۭ مُّسْرِفُونَ ١٩

Wakasema: Ukorofi wenu mnao wenyewe! Je! Ni kwa kuwa mnakumbushwa? Ama nyinyi ni watu walio pindukia mipaka.

They said, "Your omen is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."

وَجَآءَ مِنْ أَقْصَا ٱلْمَدِينَةِ رَجُلٌۭ يَسْعَىٰ قَالَ يَٰقَوْمِ ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٢٠

Na akaja mtu mbio kutokea upande wa mbali wa mjini, akasema: Enyi watu wangu! Wafuateni hawa walio tumwa.

And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.

ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ مَن لَّا يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ أَجْرًۭا وَهُم مُّهْتَدُونَ ٢١

Wafuateni ambao hawakutakini ujira, hali ya kuwa wenyewe wameongoka.

Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.

وَمَا لِىَ لَآ أَعْبُدُ ٱلَّذِى فَطَرَنِى وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ٢٢

NA KWA NINI nisimuabudu yule aliye niumba na kwake mtarejeshwa?

And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?

ءَأَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِهِۦٓ ءَالِهَةً إِن يُرِدْنِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ بِضُرٍّۢ لَّا تُغْنِ عَنِّى شَفَٰعَتُهُمْ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا يُنقِذُونِ ٢٣

Je! Niishike miungu mingine badala yake? Arrahmani, Mwingi wa Rehema, akinitakia madhara uombezi wa hao hautanifaa kitu, wala hawataniokoa.

Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?

إِنِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ٢٤

Basi hakika mimi hapo nitakuwa katika upotovu ulio dhaahiri.

Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.

إِنِّىٓ ءَامَنتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَٱسْمَعُونِ ٢٥

Hakika mimi nimemuamini Mola wenu Mlezi, basi nisikilizeni!

Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."

قِيلَ ٱدْخُلِ ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَٰلَيْتَ قَوْمِى يَعْلَمُونَ ٢٦

Akaambiwa: Ingia Peponi! Akasema: Laiti kuwa watu wangu wangeli jua

It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know

بِمَا غَفَرَ لِى رَبِّى وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ ٢٧

Jinsi Mola wangu Mlezi alivyo nisamehe, na akanifanya miongoni mwa walio hishimiwa.

Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."

۞ وَمَآ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ مِن جُندٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَمَا كُنَّا مُنزِلِينَ ٢٨

Na hatukuwateremshia kaumu yake baada yake jeshi kutoka mbinguni, wala si wenye kuteremsha.

And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ خَٰمِدُونَ ٢٩

Hakukuwa ila ukelele mmoja tu; na mara walizimwa!

It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.

يَٰحَسْرَةً عَلَى ٱلْعِبَادِ ۚ مَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن رَّسُولٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٣٠

Nawasikitikia waja wangu. Hawajii Mtume ila wao humkejeli.

How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.

أَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْقُرُونِ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْهِمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ٣١

Je! Hawaoni umma ngapi tulizo ziangamiza kabla yao? Hakika hao hawarejei tena kwao.

Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?

وَإِن كُلٌّۭ لَّمَّا جَمِيعٌۭ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ٣٢

Na hapana mmoja ila wote watakusanywa waletwe mbele yetu.

And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.

وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمُ ٱلْأَرْضُ ٱلْمَيْتَةُ أَحْيَيْنَٰهَا وَأَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهَا حَبًّۭا فَمِنْهُ يَأْكُلُونَ ٣٣

Na Ishara hiyo kwao - ardhi iliyo kufa, nasi tukaifufua, na tukatoa ndani yake nafaka, wakawa wanazila!

And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.

وَجَعَلْنَا فِيهَا جَنَّٰتٍۢ مِّن نَّخِيلٍۢ وَأَعْنَٰبٍۢ وَفَجَّرْنَا فِيهَا مِنَ ٱلْعُيُونِ ٣٤

Na tukafanya ndani yake mabustani ya mitende na mizabibu, na tukatimbua chemchem ndani yake,

And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -

لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ مِن ثَمَرِهِۦ وَمَا عَمِلَتْهُ أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ ٣٥

Ili wale matunda yake, na hayo hayakufanywa na mikono yao! Basi je, hawashukuru?

That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?

سُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ كُلَّهَا مِمَّا تُنۢبِتُ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمِنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَمِمَّا لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣٦

Subhana, Ametakasika, aliye umba dume na jike vyote katika vinavyo mea katika ardhi na katika nafsi zao, na katika wasivyo vijua.

Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.

وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمُ ٱلَّيْلُ نَسْلَخُ مِنْهُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فَإِذَا هُم مُّظْلِمُونَ ٣٧

Na usiku ni Ishara kwao. Tunauvua humo mchana, mara wao wanakuwa gizani.

And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it [the light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.

وَٱلشَّمْسُ تَجْرِى لِمُسْتَقَرٍّۢ لَّهَا ۚ ذَٰلِكَ تَقْدِيرُ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْعَلِيمِ ٣٨

Na jua linakwenda kwa kiwango chake. Hayo ni makadirio ya Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye kujua.

And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

وَٱلْقَمَرَ قَدَّرْنَٰهُ مَنَازِلَ حَتَّىٰ عَادَ كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ ٱلْقَدِيمِ ٣٩

Na mwezi tumeupimia vituo, mpaka unakuwa kama karara kongwe.

And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.

لَا ٱلشَّمْسُ يَنۢبَغِى لَهَآ أَن تُدْرِكَ ٱلْقَمَرَ وَلَا ٱلَّيْلُ سَابِقُ ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ وَكُلٌّۭ فِى فَلَكٍۢ يَسْبَحُونَ ٤٠

Haliwi jua kuufikia mwezi, wala usiku kuupita mchana. Na vyote vinaogelea katika njia zao.

It is not allowable for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.

وَءَايَةٌۭ لَّهُمْ أَنَّا حَمَلْنَا ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ٤١

Na ni Ishara kwao kwamba Sisi tuliwapakia dhuriya zao katika jahazi ilio sheheni.

And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.

وَخَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّن مِّثْلِهِۦ مَا يَرْكَبُونَ ٤٢

Na tukawaumbia kutoka mfano wake wanavyo vipanda.

And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.

وَإِن نَّشَأْ نُغْرِقْهُمْ فَلَا صَرِيخَ لَهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنقَذُونَ ٤٣

Na tukitaka tunawazamisha, wala hapana wa kuwasaidia, wala hawaokolewi,

And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved

إِلَّا رَحْمَةًۭ مِّنَّا وَمَتَٰعًا إِلَىٰ حِينٍۢ ٤٤

Isipo kuwa kwa rehema zitokazo kwetu na starehe kwa muda.

Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ٤٥

Na wanapo ambiwa: Jilindeni na yalioko mbele yenu na yalioko nyuma yenu, ili mpate kurehemewa...

But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy... "

وَمَا تَأْتِيهِم مِّنْ ءَايَةٍۢ مِّنْ ءَايَٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهَا مُعْرِضِينَ ٤٦

Na haiwafikii Ishara yoyote katika Ishara za Mola wao Mlezi ila wao huwa ni wenye kuipuuza.

And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَنفِقُوا۟ مِمَّا رَزَقَكُمُ ٱللَّهُ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ لِلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَنُطْعِمُ مَن لَّوْ يَشَآءُ ٱللَّهُ أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ٤٧

Na wanapo ambiwa: Toeni katika aliyo kupeni Mwenyezi Mungu, walio kufuru huwaambia walio amini: Je! Tuwalishe ambao Mwenyezi Mungu angependa angeli walisha mwenyewe? Nyinyi hammo ila katika upotofu ulio dhaahiri.

And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."

وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا ٱلْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَٰدِقِينَ ٤٨

Na wanasema: Ahadi hii itatokea lini, ikiwa nyinyi ni wakweli?

And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ ٤٩

Hawangojei ila ukelele mmoja tu utakao wachukua nao wamo kuzozana.

They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةًۭ وَلَآ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ٥٠

Basi hawataweza kuusia, wala kwa watu wao hawarejei.

And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.

وَنُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ ٥١

Na litapulizwa barugumu, mara watatoka makaburini wakikimbilia kwa Mola wao Mlezi.

And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.

قَالُوا۟ يَٰوَيْلَنَا مَنۢ بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ٥٢

Watasema: Ole wetu! Nani aliye tufufua kwenye malazi yetu? Haya ndiyo aliyo yaahidi Mwingi wa Rehema na wakasema kweli Mitume.

They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌۭ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ٥٣

Haitakuwa ila ukelele mmoja tu, mara wote watahudhuruishwa mbele yetu.

It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.

فَٱلْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌۭ شَيْـًۭٔا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٥٤

Basi leo nafsi yoyote haitadhulumiwa kitu, wala hamtalipwa ila yale mliyo kuwa mkiyatenda.

So today no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.

إِنَّ أَصْحَٰبَ ٱلْجَنَّةِ ٱلْيَوْمَ فِى شُغُلٍۢ فَٰكِهُونَ ٥٥

Hakika watu wa Peponi leo wamo shughulini, wamefurahi.

Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -

هُمْ وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ فِى ظِلَٰلٍ عَلَى ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ مُتَّكِـُٔونَ ٥٦

Wao na wake zao wamo katika vivuli wameegemea juu ya viti vya fakhari.

They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.

لَهُمْ فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةٌۭ وَلَهُم مَّا يَدَّعُونَ ٥٧

Watapata humo kila namna ya matunda na watapata kila watakacho kitaka.

For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]

سَلَٰمٌۭ قَوْلًۭا مِّن رَّبٍّۢ رَّحِيمٍۢ ٥٨

"Salama!" Hiyo ndiyo kauli itokayo kwa Mola Mlezi Mwenye kurehemu.

[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.

وَٱمْتَٰزُوا۟ ٱلْيَوْمَ أَيُّهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٥٩

Na enyi wakosefu! Jitengeni leo!

[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.

۞ أَلَمْ أَعْهَدْ إِلَيْكُمْ يَٰبَنِىٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعْبُدُوا۟ ٱلشَّيْطَٰنَ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ٦٠

Je! Sikuagana nanyi, enyi wanaadamu, kuwa msimuabudu Shet'ani? Hakika yeye ni adui dhaahiri kwenu.

Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -

وَأَنِ ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ هَٰذَا صِرَٰطٌۭ مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ ٦١

Na ya kwamba mniabudu Mimi? Hii ndiyo Njia Iliyo Nyooka.

And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.

وَلَقَدْ أَضَلَّ مِنكُمْ جِبِلًّۭا كَثِيرًا ۖ أَفَلَمْ تَكُونُوا۟ تَعْقِلُونَ ٦٢

Na bila ya shaka yeye amekwisha lipoteza kundi kubwa miongoni mwenu. Je, hamkuwa mkifikiri?

And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?

هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى كُنتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ ٦٣

Hii basi ndiyo Jahannamu mliyo kuwa mkiahidiwa.

This is the Hellfire which you were promised.

ٱصْلَوْهَا ٱلْيَوْمَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ ٦٤

Ingieni leo kwa vile mlivyo kuwa mkikufuru.

[Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."

ٱلْيَوْمَ نَخْتِمُ عَلَىٰٓ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَتَشْهَدُ أَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَكْسِبُونَ ٦٥

Leo tunaviziba vinywa vyao, na iseme nasi mikono yao, na itoe ushahidi miguu yao kwa waliyo kuwa wakiyachuma.

That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَطَمَسْنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَعْيُنِهِمْ فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ ٱلصِّرَٰطَ فَأَنَّىٰ يُبْصِرُونَ ٦٦

Na tungeli penda tungeli yafutilia mbali macho yao, wakawa wanaiwania njia. Lakini wange ionaje?

And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?

وَلَوْ نَشَآءُ لَمَسَخْنَٰهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَكَانَتِهِمْ فَمَا ٱسْتَطَٰعُوا۟ مُضِيًّۭا وَلَا يَرْجِعُونَ ٦٧

Na tungeli taka tunge wageuza sura hapo hapo walipo, basi wasinge weza kwenda wala kurudi.

And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.

وَمَن نُّعَمِّرْهُ نُنَكِّسْهُ فِى ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ أَفَلَا يَعْقِلُونَ ٦٨

Na tunaye mzeesha tunamrudisha nyuma katika umbo. Basi je! hawazingatii?

And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?

وَمَا عَلَّمْنَٰهُ ٱلشِّعْرَ وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُۥٓ ۚ إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌۭ وَقُرْءَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ٦٩

Wala hatukumfundisha (Muhammad) mashairi, wala hayatakikani kwake hayo. Haukuwa huu ila ni ukumbusho na Qur'ani inayo bainisha.

And We did not give Prophet Muhammad, knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur'an

لِّيُنذِرَ مَن كَانَ حَيًّۭا وَيَحِقَّ ٱلْقَوْلُ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٧٠

Ili imwonye aliye hai, na neno litimie juu ya makafiri.

To warn whoever is alive and justify the word against the disbelievers.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَا لَهُم مِّمَّا عَمِلَتْ أَيْدِينَآ أَنْعَٰمًۭا فَهُمْ لَهَا مَٰلِكُونَ ٧١

Je! Hawaoni kwamba tumewaumbia kutokana na iliyo fanya mikono yetu wanyama wa mifugo, na wao wakawa wenye kuwamiliki.

Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?

وَذَلَّلْنَٰهَا لَهُمْ فَمِنْهَا رَكُوبُهُمْ وَمِنْهَا يَأْكُلُونَ ٧٢

Na Sisi tukawadhalilishia. Basi baadhi yao wako wanao wapanda, na baadhi yao wanawala.

And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.

وَلَهُمْ فِيهَا مَنَٰفِعُ وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ أَفَلَا يَشْكُرُونَ ٧٣

Na wao wanapata kwao manufaa na vinywaji. Basi je, hawashukuru?

And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?

وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ءَالِهَةًۭ لَّعَلَّهُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ٧٤

Na wameishika miungu mingine badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu ili ati wapate kusaidiwa!

But they have taken besides Allah [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.

لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ نَصْرَهُمْ وَهُمْ لَهُمْ جُندٌۭ مُّحْضَرُونَ ٧٥

Hawataweza kuwasaidia. Bali hao ndio watakuwa askari wao watakao hudhurishwa.

They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.

فَلَا يَحْزُنكَ قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ إِنَّا نَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ٧٦

Basi maneno yao yasikuhuzunishe. Hakika Sisi tunayajua wanayo yaweka siri na wanayo yatangaza.

So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَ ٱلْإِنسَٰنُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُ مِن نُّطْفَةٍۢ فَإِذَا هُوَ خَصِيمٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ٧٧

Kwani mwanaadamu haoni ya kwamba Sisi tumemuumba yeye kutokana na tone la manii? Kisha sasa yeye ndio amekuwa ndiye mgomvi wa dhaahiri!

Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?

وَضَرَبَ لَنَا مَثَلًۭا وَنَسِىَ خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ قَالَ مَن يُحْىِ ٱلْعِظَٰمَ وَهِىَ رَمِيمٌۭ ٧٨

Na akatupigia mfano, na akasahau kuumbwa kwake, akasema: Ni nani huyo atakaye ihuisha mifupa nayo imekwisha mung'unyika?

And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"

قُلْ يُحْيِيهَا ٱلَّذِىٓ أَنشَأَهَآ أَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۢ ۖ وَهُوَ بِكُلِّ خَلْقٍ عَلِيمٌ ٧٩

Sema: Ataihuisha huyo huyo aliye iumba hapo mara ya mwanzo. Na Yeye ni Mjuzi wa kila kuumba.

Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."

ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلشَّجَرِ ٱلْأَخْضَرِ نَارًۭا فَإِذَآ أَنتُم مِّنْهُ تُوقِدُونَ ٨٠

Aliye kujaalieni kupata moto kutokana na mti wa kijani nanyi mkawa kwa huo mnawasha.

[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.

أَوَلَيْسَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ بِقَٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَخْلُقَ مِثْلَهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَهُوَ ٱلْخَلَّٰقُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٨١

Kwani aliye ziumba mbingu na ardhi hawezi kuwaumba mfano wao? Kwani! Naye ndiye Muumbaji Mkuu, Mjuzi.

Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.

إِنَّمَآ أَمْرُهُۥٓ إِذَآ أَرَادَ شَيْـًٔا أَن يَقُولَ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ ٨٢

Hakika amri yake anapo taka kitu ni kukiambia tu: Kuwa! Na kikawa.

His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.

فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱلَّذِى بِيَدِهِۦ مَلَكُوتُ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ٨٣

Basi Ametakasika yule ambaye mkononi mwake umo Ufalme wa kila kitu; na kwake Yeye mtarejeshwa.

So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
