وعن أم المؤمنين جويرة بنت الحارس رضي الله عنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها يوم الجمعة وهي صائمة، فقال: " أصمت أمس؟" قالت: لا، قال: " تريدين أن تصومي غدا " قالت: لا، قال : "فأفطري" ((رواه البخاري))

Kutoka kwa Masahaba (Radhi za Allah ziwe juu yao) amesema: "Juwairiyah bint Al-Harith (May Allah be pleased with her), the Mother of the waumini, said that Mtume (Rehema na amani za Allah ziwe juu yake) visited her on a Friday and she was observing fast. He asked, "Did you observe fast yesterday?" She said, "No." He asked, "Do you intend to observe fast tomorrow?" She said, "No." He said, "In that case, give up your fast today."."

وعن أم عمارة الأنصارية، رضي الله عنها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دخل عليها فقدمت إليه طعامًا فقال " كلي" فقالت: إني صائمة، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "إن الصائم تصلي عليه الملائكة إذا أكل عنده حتى يفرغوا" وربما قال: "حتى يشبعوا" ((رواه الترمذي وقال: حديث حسن)).

Kutoka kwa Umm 'Umarah Al-Ansariyah (Radhi za Allah ziwe juu yake) reported: "Once Mtume (Rehema na amani za Allah ziwe juu yake) visited us and I served him some food. He (ﷺ) asked me to eat. I replied that I was observing (optional) fast. He (ﷺ) said, "When people eat by a person observing fast, the angels keep asking Allah's msamaha for that person until they have had their fill."."
