الٓمٓ ١

Alif Lam Mim (A. L. M.)

Alif, Lam, Meem.

غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ ٢

Warumi wameshindwa,

The Byzantines have been defeated

فِىٓ أَدْنَى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ غَلَبِهِمْ سَيَغْلِبُونَ ٣

Katika nchi iliyo karibu. Nao baada ya kushindwa kwao watashinda

In the nearest land. But they, after their defeat, will overcome.

فِى بِضْعِ سِنِينَ ۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلْأَمْرُ مِن قَبْلُ وَمِنۢ بَعْدُ ۚ وَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَفْرَحُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ ٤

Katika miaka michache. Amri ni ya Mwenyezi Mungu kabla yake na baada yake. Na siku hiyo Waumini watafurahi.

Within three to nine years. To Allah belongs the command before and after. And that day the believers will rejoice

بِنَصْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٥

Kwa nusura ya Mwenyezi Mungu humnusuru amtakaye. Naye ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.

In the victory of Allah. He gives victory to whom He wills, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.

وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ لَا يُخْلِفُ ٱللَّهُ وَعْدَهُۥ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٦

Ni ahadi ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Mwenyezi Mungu havunji ahadi yake. Lakini watu wengi hawajui.

[It is] the promise of Allah. Allah does not fail in His promise, but most of the people do not know.

يَعْلَمُونَ ظَٰهِرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ هُمْ غَٰفِلُونَ ٧

Wanajua hali ya dhaahiri ya maisha ya dunia, na wameghafilika na Akhera.

They know what is apparent of the worldly life, but they, of the Hereafter, are unaware.

أَوَلَمْ يَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِم ۗ مَّا خَلَقَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ إِلَّا بِٱلْحَقِّ وَأَجَلٍۢ مُّسَمًّۭى ۗ وَإِنَّ كَثِيرًۭا مِّنَ ٱلنَّاسِ بِلِقَآئِ رَبِّهِمْ لَكَٰفِرُونَ ٨

Je! Hawajifikirii nafsi zao? Mwenyezi Mungu hakuumba mbingu na ardhi na viliomo ndani yake ila kwa Haki na kwa muda maalumu. Na hakika watu wengi bila ya shaka ni wenye kukataa kuwa watakutana na Mola wao Mlezi.

Do they not contemplate within themselves? Allah has not created the heavens and the earth and what is between them except in truth and for a specified term. And indeed, many of the people, in [the matter of] the meeting with their Lord, are disbelievers.

أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوٓا۟ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةًۭ وَأَثَارُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ وَعَمَرُوهَآ أَكْثَرَ مِمَّا عَمَرُوهَا وَجَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ ۖ فَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيَظْلِمَهُمْ وَلَٰكِن كَانُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ يَظْلِمُونَ ٩

Je! Hawatembei katika ardhi wakaona ulivyo kuwa mwisho wa walio kuwa kabla yao? Nao walikuwa na nguvu zaidi kuliko wao, na wakaitimbua ardhi na wakaistawisha zaidi kuliko walivyo istawisha wao. Na Mitume wao wakawajia na dalili zilizo wazi. Basi hakuwa Mwenyezi Mungu ni mwenye kuwadhulumu, lakini walikuwa wakijidhulumu nafsi zao.

Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences. And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.

ثُمَّ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسَٰٓـُٔوا۟ ٱلسُّوٓأَىٰٓ أَن كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِ ٱللَّهِ وَكَانُوا۟ بِهَا يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ١٠

Kisha ulikuwa mwisho wa walio fanya ubaya ni kuzikanusha Ishara za Mwenyezi Mungu, na wakawa wanazifanyia maskhara.

Then the end of those who did evil was the worst [consequence] because they denied the signs of Allah and used to ridicule them.

ٱللَّهُ يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ ثُمَّ إِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ ١١

Mwenyezi Mungu huanzisha uumbaji, tena akaurudisha mara ya pili, na kisha mtarejeshwa kwake.

Allah begins creation; then He will repeat it; then to Him you will be returned.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُبْلِسُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ١٢

Na itapo simama Saa wakosefu watakata tamaa.

And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will be in despair.

وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُم مِّن شُرَكَآئِهِمْ شُفَعَٰٓؤُا۟ وَكَانُوا۟ بِشُرَكَآئِهِمْ كَٰفِرِينَ ١٣

Wala hawatakuwa na waombezi miongoni mwa walio kuwa wakiwashirikisha na Mungu; na wao wenyewe watawakataa hao washirikishwa wao.

And there will not be for them among their [alleged] partners any intercessors, and they will [then] be disbelievers in their partners.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَتَفَرَّقُونَ ١٤

Na siku itapo simama Saa, siku hiyo watagawanyika.

And the Day the Hour appears - that Day they will become separated.

فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ فَهُمْ فِى رَوْضَةٍۢ يُحْبَرُونَ ١٥

Ama walio amini na wakatenda mema watafurahishwa katika Bustani.

And as for those who had believed and done righteous deeds, they will be in a garden [of Paradise], delighted.

وَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا وَلِقَآئِ ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى ٱلْعَذَابِ مُحْضَرُونَ ١٦

Na ama walio kufuru na wakazikanusha Ishara zetu na mkutano wa Akhera, hao basi watahudhurishwa katika adhabu.

But as for those who disbelieved and denied Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter, those will be brought into the punishment [to remain].

فَسُبْحَٰنَ ٱللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ ١٧

Basi Subhanallah! Mtakaseni Mwenyezi Mungu jioni na asubuhi,

So exalted is Allah when you reach the evening and when you reach the morning.

وَلَهُ ٱلْحَمْدُ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّۭا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ ١٨

Na sifa zote njema ni zake katika mbingu na ardhi, na alasiri na adhuhuri.

And to Him is [due all] praise throughout the heavens and the earth. And [exalted is He] at night and when you are at noon.

يُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ وَيُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ ١٩

Hukitoa kilicho hai kutokana na kilicho kufa, na hukitoa kilicho kufa kutokana na kilicho hai. Na huihuisha ardhi baada ya kufa kwake. Na kama hivyo ndivyo mtavyo fufuliwa.

He brings the living out of the dead and brings the dead out of the living and brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. And thus will you be brought out.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍۢ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَنتُم بَشَرٌۭ تَنتَشِرُونَ ٢٠

Na katika Ishara zake ni kuwa kakuumbeni kwa udongo. Kisha mmekuwa watu mlio tawanyika kote kote.

And of His signs is that He created you from dust; then, suddenly you were human beings dispersing [throughout the earth].

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَنْ خَلَقَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَٰجًۭا لِّتَسْكُنُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهَا وَجَعَلَ بَيْنَكُم مَّوَدَّةًۭ وَرَحْمَةً ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ ٢١

Na katika Ishara zake ni kuwa amekuumbieni wake zenu kutokana na nafsi zenu ili mpate utulivu kwao. Naye amejaalia mapenzi na huruma baina yenu. Hakika katika haya bila ya shaka zipo Ishara kwa watu wanao fikiri.

And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ خَلْقُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَٰفُ أَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَأَلْوَٰنِكُمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّلْعَٰلِمِينَ ٢٢

Na katika Ishara zake ni kuumba mbingu na ardhi, na kutafautiana ndimi zenu na rangi zenu. Hakika katika hayo zipo Ishara kwa wajuzi.

And of His signs is the creation of the heavens and the earth and the diversity of your languages and your colors. Indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ مَنَامُكُم بِٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱبْتِغَآؤُكُم مِّن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَسْمَعُونَ ٢٣

Na katika Ishara zake ni kulala kwenu usiku na mchana, na kutafuta kwenu fadhila zake. Hakika katika haya bila ya shaka zipo Ishara kwa watu wanao sikia.

And of His signs is your sleep by night and day and your seeking of His bounty. Indeed in that are signs for a people who listen.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦ يُرِيكُمُ ٱلْبَرْقَ خَوْفًۭا وَطَمَعًۭا وَيُنَزِّلُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءًۭ فَيُحْىِۦ بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ ٢٤

Na katika Ishara zake hukuonyesheni umeme kwa kukutieni khofu na tamaa. Na hukuteremshieni maji kutoka mbinguni, na kwa hayo huifufua ardhi baada ya kufa kwake. Hakika katika hayo zipo Ishara kwa watu wanao zingatia.

And of His signs is [that] He shows you the lightning [causing] fear and aspiration, and He sends down rain from the sky by which He brings to life the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that are signs for a people who use reason.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةًۭ مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ ٢٥

Na katika Ishara zake ni kuwa mbingu na ardhi zimesimama kwa amri yake. Kisha atakapo kuiteni mwito mmoja tu, hapo mtatoka kwenye ardhi.

And of His signs is that the heaven and earth remain by His command. Then when He calls you with a [single] call from the earth, immediately you will come forth.

وَلَهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ كُلٌّۭ لَّهُۥ قَٰنِتُونَ ٢٦

Na vyake Yeye vilivyo mbinguni na katika ardhi. Vyote vinamt'ii Yeye.

And to Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and earth. All are to Him devoutly obedient.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يَبْدَؤُا۟ ٱلْخَلْقَ ثُمَّ يُعِيدُهُۥ وَهُوَ أَهْوَنُ عَلَيْهِ ۚ وَلَهُ ٱلْمَثَلُ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ ٢٧

Na Yeye ndiye anaye anzisha uumbaji, kisha ataurudisha mara nyengine. Na jambo hili ni jepesi zaidi kwake. Naye ndiye mwenye mfano bora katika mbingu na ardhi. Na Yeye ndiye Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye hikima.

And it is He who begins creation; then He repeats it, and that is [even] easier for Him. To Him belongs the highest attribute in the heavens and earth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًۭا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌۭ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍۢ يَعْقِلُونَ ٢٨

Amekupigieni mfano kutokana na nafsi zenu. Je! Katika hao iliyo wamiliki mikono yenu ya kulia mnao washirika katika hivyo tulivyo kuruzukuni, mkawa nyinyi katika hivyo ni sawasawa, mnawaogopa kama mnavyo ogopana wenyewe kwa wenyewe? Namna hivi tunazipambanua Aya zetu kwa watu wenye akili.

He presents to you an example from yourselves. Do you have among those whom your right hands possess any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]? Thus do We detail the verses for a people who use reason.

بَلِ ٱتَّبَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُم بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۢ ۖ فَمَن يَهْدِى مَنْ أَضَلَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّن نَّٰصِرِينَ ٢٩

Bali walio dhulumu wamefuata mapendo ya nafsi zao pasina kujua. Basi nani atamwongoa ambaye Mwenyezi Mungu amemuacha apotee? Wala hao hawatakuwa na wa kuwanusuru.

But those who wrong follow their [own] desires without knowledge. Then who can guide one whom Allah has sent astray? And for them there are no helpers.

فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ حَنِيفًۭا ۚ فِطْرَتَ ٱللَّهِ ٱلَّتِى فَطَرَ ٱلنَّاسَ عَلَيْهَا ۚ لَا تَبْدِيلَ لِخَلْقِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣٠

Basi uelekeze uso wako sawasawa kwenye Dini - ndilo umbile la Mwenyezi Mungu alilo waumbia watu. Hapana mabadiliko katika uumbaji wa Mwenyezi Mungu. Hiyo ndiyo Dini iliyo nyooka sawa. Lakini watu wengi hawajui.

So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most of the people do not know.

۞ مُنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ وَٱتَّقُوهُ وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ ٣١

Muwe wenye kutubia kwake, na mcheni Yeye, na shikeni Sala, na wala msiwe katika washirikina.

[Adhere to it], turning in repentance to Him, and fear Him and establish prayer and do not be of those who associate others with Allah

مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ فَرَّقُوا۟ دِينَهُمْ وَكَانُوا۟ شِيَعًۭا ۖ كُلُّ حِزْبٍۭ بِمَا لَدَيْهِمْ فَرِحُونَ ٣٢

Katika wale ambao kwamba wameigawanya dini yao, na wakawa makundi makundi, kila kikundi kinafurahia kilicho nacho.

[Or] of those who have divided their religion and become sects, every faction rejoicing in what it has.

وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلنَّاسَ ضُرٌّۭ دَعَوْا۟ رَبَّهُم مُّنِيبِينَ إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَآ أَذَاقَهُم مِّنْهُ رَحْمَةً إِذَا فَرِيقٌۭ مِّنْهُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ ٣٣

Yakiwapata watu madhara humwomba Mola wao Mlezi nao wametubu kwake. Kisha akiwaonjesha rehema itokayo kwake, mara kikundi miongoni mwao humshirikisha Mola wao Mlezi,

And when adversity touches the people, they call upon their Lord, turning in repentance to Him. Then when He lets them taste mercy from Him, at once a party of them associate others with their Lord,

لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ٣٤

Kwa kuyakataa tuliyo wapa. Basi stareheni. Mtakuja jua!

So that they will deny what We have granted them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.

أَمْ أَنزَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ سُلْطَٰنًۭا فَهُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ بِمَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يُشْرِكُونَ ٣٥

Au tumewateremshia hoja ambayo kwayo ndio wanafanya ushirikina?

Or have We sent down to them an authority, and it speaks of what they were associating with Him?

وَإِذَآ أَذَقْنَا ٱلنَّاسَ رَحْمَةًۭ فَرِحُوا۟ بِهَا ۖ وَإِن تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ إِذَا هُمْ يَقْنَطُونَ ٣٦

Na watu tunapo waonjesha rehema huifurahia, na ukiwasibu uovu kwa iliyo yatanguliza mikono yao wenyewe, mara wanakata tamaa.

And when We let the people taste mercy, they rejoice therein, but if evil afflicts them for what their hands have put forth, immediately they despair.

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَبْسُطُ ٱلرِّزْقَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ وَيَقْدِرُ ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَٰتٍۢ لِّقَوْمٍۢ يُؤْمِنُونَ ٣٧

Kwani hawaoni kwamba Mwenyezi Mungu humkunjulia riziki amtakaye na humdhikisha amtakaye? Hakika katika hayo zipo Ishara kwa watu wanao amini.

Do they not see that Allah extends provision for whom He wills and restricts [it]? Indeed, in that are signs for a people who believe.

فَـَٔاتِ ذَا ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ حَقَّهُۥ وَٱلْمِسْكِينَ وَٱبْنَ ٱلسَّبِيلِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌۭ لِّلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ ٣٨

Basi mpe jamaa haki yake, na masikini, na msafiri. Hayo ni kheri kwa watakao radhi ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Na hao ndio wenye kufanikiwa.

So give the relative his right, as well as the needy and the traveler. That is best for those who desire the countenance of Allah, and it is they who will be the successful.

وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن رِّبًۭا لِّيَرْبُوَا۟ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِ ٱلنَّاسِ فَلَا يَرْبُوا۟ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَمَآ ءَاتَيْتُم مِّن زَكَوٰةٍۢ تُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَ ٱللَّهِ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُضْعِفُونَ ٣٩

Na mnacho kitoa kwa riba ili kiongezeke katika mali ya watu, basi hakiongezeki mbele ya Mwenyezi Mungu. Lakini mnacho kitoa kwa Zaka kwa kutaka radhi ya Mwenyezi Mungu, basi hao ndio watao zidishiwa.

And whatever you give for interest to increase within the wealth of people will not increase with Allah. But what you give in zakah, desiring the countenance of Allah - those are the multipliers.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ ۖ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَآئِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَٰلِكُم مِّن شَىْءٍۢ ۚ سُبْحَٰنَهُۥ وَتَعَٰلَىٰ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٤٠

Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye kuumbeni, kisha akakuruzukuni, kisha anakufisheni, na kisha anakufufueni. Je! Yupo yeyote katika hao mnao washirikisha na Mwenyezi Mungu afanyae lolote katika hayo? Yeye ametakasika, na ametukuka na hayo mnayo mshirikisha naye.

Allah is the one who created you, then provided for you, then will cause you to die, and then will give you life. Are there any of your "partners" who does anything of that? Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

ظَهَرَ ٱلْفَسَادُ فِى ٱلْبَرِّ وَٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا كَسَبَتْ أَيْدِى ٱلنَّاسِ لِيُذِيقَهُم بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى عَمِلُوا۟ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ٤١

Ufisadi umedhihiri bara na baharini kwa iliyo yafanya mikono ya watu, ili Mwenyezi Mungu awaonyeshe baadhi ya waliyo yatenda. Huenda wakarejea kwa kutubu.

Corruption has appeared throughout the land and sea by [reason of] what the hands of people have earned so He may let them taste part of [the consequence of] what they have done that perhaps they will return [to righteousness].

قُلْ سِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلُ ۚ كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّشْرِكِينَ ٤٢

Sema: Safirini duniani muangalie ulikuwaje mwisho wa walio tangulia. Wengi wao walikuwa washirikina.

Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of those before. Most of them were associators [of others with Allah].

فَأَقِمْ وَجْهَكَ لِلدِّينِ ٱلْقَيِّمِ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يَأْتِىَ يَوْمٌۭ لَّا مَرَدَّ لَهُۥ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ يَصَّدَّعُونَ ٤٣

Basi uelekeze uso wako kwenye Dini Iliyo Nyooka kabla ya kufika Siku hiyo isiyo zuilika, inayo toka kwa Mwenyezi Mungu. Siku hiyo watu watatengana.

So direct your face toward the correct religion before a Day comes from Allah of which there is no repelling. That Day, they will be divided.

مَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۥ ۖ وَمَنْ عَمِلَ صَٰلِحًۭا فَلِأَنفُسِهِمْ يَمْهَدُونَ ٤٤

Anaye kufuru basi ukafiri wake utakuwa juu yake mwenyewe, na anaye tenda mema, basi wanazitengezea nafsi zao.

Whoever disbelieves - upon him is [the consequence of] his disbelief. And whoever does righteousness - they are for themselves preparing,

لِيَجْزِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ مِن فَضْلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٤٥

Ili awalipe walio amini na wakatenda mema kutokana na fadhila yake. Hakika Yeye hawapendi makafiri.

That He may reward those who have believed and done righteous deeds out of His bounty. Indeed, He does not like the disbelievers.

وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن يُرْسِلَ ٱلرِّيَاحَ مُبَشِّرَٰتٍۢ وَلِيُذِيقَكُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِهِۦ وَلِتَجْرِىَ ٱلْفُلْكُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ مِن فَضْلِهِۦ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ ٤٦

Na katika Ishara zake ni kuzituma pepo ziletazo bishara njema, na ili kukuonjesheni baadhi ya rehema zake, na ili majahazi yende kwa amri yake; na mtafute kutokana na fadhila yake, na ili mumshukuru.

And of His signs is that He sends the winds as bringers of good tidings and to let you taste His mercy and so the ships may sail at His command and so you may seek of His bounty, and perhaps you will be grateful.

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن قَبْلِكَ رُسُلًا إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِمْ فَجَآءُوهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱنتَقَمْنَا مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا۟ ۖ وَكَانَ حَقًّا عَلَيْنَا نَصْرُ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٤٧

Na hakika tulikwisha watuma Mitume kwa kaumu zao, na wakawajia kwa hoja zilizo wazi. Tukawaadhibu wale walio fanya ukosefu. Na ilikuwa ni haki juu yetu kuwanusuru Waumini.

And We have already sent messengers before you to their peoples, and they came to them with clear evidences; then We took retribution from those who committed crimes, and incumbent upon Us was support of the believers.

ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى يُرْسِلُ ٱلرِّيَٰحَ فَتُثِيرُ سَحَابًۭا فَيَبْسُطُهُۥ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ كَيْفَ يَشَآءُ وَيَجْعَلُهُۥ كِسَفًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْوَدْقَ يَخْرُجُ مِنْ خِلَٰلِهِۦ ۖ فَإِذَآ أَصَابَ بِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦٓ إِذَا هُمْ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ ٤٨

Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye anaye zituma pepo zikayatimua mawingu, kisha akayatandaza mbinguni kama apendavyo. Na akayafanya mapande mapande, basi ukaiona mvua inatoka ndani yake. Anapo wafikishia awatakao katika waja wake, mara hao huwa na furaha.

It is Allah who sends the winds, and they stir the clouds and spread them in the sky however He wills, and He makes them fragments so you see the rain emerge from within them. And when He causes it to fall upon whom He wills of His servants, immediately they rejoice

وَإِن كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِ أَن يُنَزَّلَ عَلَيْهِم مِّن قَبْلِهِۦ لَمُبْلِسِينَ ٤٩

Na ingawa kabla ya kuteremshiwa walikuwa wenye kukata tamaa.

Although they were, before it was sent down upon them - before that, in despair.

فَٱنظُرْ إِلَىٰٓ ءَاثَٰرِ رَحْمَتِ ٱللَّهِ كَيْفَ يُحْىِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَآ ۚ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمُحْىِ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ ۖ وَهُوَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ قَدِيرٌۭ ٥٠

Basi ziangalie athari za rehema ya Mwenyezi Mungu, jinsi anavyo ihuisha ardhi baada ya kufa kwake. Basi hakika huyo ndiye bila ya shaka Mwenye kuhuisha wafu. Na Yeye ni Muweza wa kila kitu.

So observe the effects of the mercy of Allah - how He gives life to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed, that [same one] will give life to the dead, and He is over all things competent.

وَلَئِنْ أَرْسَلْنَا رِيحًۭا فَرَأَوْهُ مُصْفَرًّۭا لَّظَلُّوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ يَكْفُرُونَ ٥١

Na tunge utuma upepo na wakauona umekuwa rangi ya manjano, juu ya hayo wange endelea kukufuru.

But if We should send a [bad] wind and they saw [their crops] turned yellow, they would remain thereafter disbelievers.

فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ ٥٢

Kwani wewe hakika huwafanyi maiti wakasikia, wala viziwi wakasikia wito wakisha geuka kukupa mgongo.

So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.

وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِ ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ٥٣

Wala wewe huwaongoi vipofu na upotovu wao. Huwasikilizishi ila wanao ziamini Aya zetu. Hao ndio Waislamu, walio nyenyekea.

And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allah].

۞ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن ضَعْفٍۢ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ضَعْفٍۢ قُوَّةًۭ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ قُوَّةٍۢ ضَعْفًۭا وَشَيْبَةًۭ ۚ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَآءُ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْقَدِيرُ ٥٤

Mwenyezi Mungu ndiye aliye kuumbeni kutokana na udhaifu kisha akajaalia nguvu baada ya unyonge, kisha akajaalia baada ya nguvu unyonge tena na ukongwe. Anaumba atakavyo. Naye ndiye Mjuzi, Mwenye uweza.

Allah is the one who created you from weakness, then made after weakness strength, then made after strength weakness and white hair. He creates what He wills, and He is the Knowing, the Competent.

وَيَوْمَ تَقُومُ ٱلسَّاعَةُ يُقْسِمُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ مَا لَبِثُوا۟ غَيْرَ سَاعَةٍۢ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ كَانُوا۟ يُؤْفَكُونَ ٥٥

Na siku itapo simama Saa wakosefu wataapa kwamba hawakukaa duniani ila saa moja tu. Hivyo ndivyo walivyo kuwa wakipotozwa.

And the Day the Hour appears the criminals will swear they had remained but an hour. Thus they were deluded.

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُوا۟ ٱلْعِلْمَ وَٱلْإِيمَٰنَ لَقَدْ لَبِثْتُمْ فِى كِتَٰبِ ٱللَّهِ إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْبَعْثِ ۖ فَهَٰذَا يَوْمُ ٱلْبَعْثِ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ٥٦

Na walio pewa ilimu na Imani watasema: Hakika nyinyi mlikwisha kaa katika hukumu ya Mwenyezi Mungu mpaka Siku ya kufufuliwa. Basi hii ndiyo Siku ya kufufuliwa! Lakini nyinyi mlikuwa hamuijui.

But those who were given knowledge and faith will say, "You remained the extent of Allah 's decree until the Day of Resurrection, and this is the Day of Resurrection, but you did not used to know."

فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ لَّا يَنفَعُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مَعْذِرَتُهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ ٥٧

Basi Siku hiyo hautawafaa walio dhulumu udhuru wao, wala haitotakiwa toba yao.

So that Day, their excuse will not benefit those who wronged, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].

وَلَقَدْ ضَرَبْنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍۢ ۚ وَلَئِن جِئْتَهُم بِـَٔايَةٍۢ لَّيَقُولَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا مُبْطِلُونَ ٥٨

Na hakika tulikwisha wapigia watu kila mfano katika hii Qur'ani. Na ukiwaletea Ishara yoyote hapana shaka walio kufuru watasema: Nyinyi si chochote ila ni waongo.

And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an from every [kind of] example. But, [O Muhammad], if you should bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, "You [believers] are but falsifiers."

كَذَٰلِكَ يَطْبَعُ ٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ٥٩

Hivi ndivyo Mwenyezi Mungu anavyo piga muhuri kwenye nyoyo za wasio jua.

Thus does Allah seal the hearts of those who do not know.

فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَقٌّۭ ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَخِفَّنَّكَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُوقِنُونَ ٦٠

Basi subiri. Hakika ahadi ya Mwenyezi Mungu ni ya haki. Wala wasikupaparishe hao wasio kuwa na yakini.

So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And let them not disquiet you who are not certain [in faith].
