الشُّعَرَاء
Ash-Shu'araa · Ash-Shu'araa
Maana: "Washairi"
BISMILLAHIR RAHMAANIR RAHIIM
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Kwa jina la Mwenyezi Mungu, Mwingi wa Rehema, Mwenye Kurehemu
تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ٢
Hizi ni Aya za Kitabu kinacho bainisha.
These are the verses of the clear Book.
لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ٣
Huenda labda ukajikera nafsi yako kwa kuwa hawawi Waumini.
Perhaps, [O Muhammad], you would kill yourself with grief that they will not be believers.
إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةًۭ فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ ٤
Tunge penda tungeli wateremshia kutoka mbinguni Ishara zikanyenyekea shingo zao.
If We willed, We could send down to them from the sky a sign for which their necks would remain humbled.
وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ ٥
Wala hauwafikii ukumbusho mpya kutoka kwa Arrahman ila wao hujitenga nao.
And no revelation comes to them anew from the Most Merciful except that they turn away from it.
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٦
Kwa yakini wamekanusha; kwa hivyo zitakuja wafikia khabari za yale waliyo kuwa wakiyafanyia mzaha.
For they have already denied, but there will come to them the news of that which they used to ridicule.
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ ٧
Je! Hawakuiona ardhi, mimea mingapi tumeiotesha humo, ya kila namna nzuri?
Did they not look at the earth - how much We have produced therein from every noble kind?
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٨
Hakika katika haya zipo Ishara. Lakini wengi wao hawakuwa wenye kuamini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٩
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٠
Na Mola wako Mlezi, alipo mwita Musa, akamwambia: Fika kwa watu madhaalimu,
And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people -
قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ ١١
Watu wa Firauni. Hawaogopi?
The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Allah?"
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ ١٢
Akasema: Hakika mimi nachelea wasinikanushe.
He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me
وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ ١٣
Na kifua changu kina dhiki, na ulimi wangu haukunjuki vyema. Basi mtumie ujumbe Harun.
And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron.
وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌۭ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ ١٤
Na wao wana kisasi juu yangu, kwa hivyo naogopa wasije kuniuwa.
And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me."
قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ ١٥
Akasema: Siyo hivyo kabisa! Nendeni na miujiza yetu. Hakika Sisi tu pamoja nanyi, tunasikiliza.
[Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening.
فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦
Basi mfikieni Firauni na mwambieni: Hakika sisi ni Mitume wa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds,
أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ١٧
Waachilie Wana wa Israili wende nasi.
[Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'"
قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًۭا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ ١٨
(Firauni) akasema: Sisi hatukukulea wewe utotoni, na ukakaa kwetu katika umri wako miaka mingi?
[Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life?
وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ١٩
Na ukatenda kitendo chako ulicho tenda, nawe ukawa miongoni mwa wasio na shukrani?
And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful."
قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًۭا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٢٠
(Musa) akasema: Nilitenda hayo hapo nilipo kuwa miongoni mwa wale walio potea.
[Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray.
فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًۭا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٢١
Basi nikakukimbieni nilipo kuogopeni, tena Mola wangu Mlezi akanitunukia hukumu, na akanijaalia niwe miongoni mwa Mitume.
So I fled from you when I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and prophethood and appointed me [as one] of the messengers.
وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌۭ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٢٢
Na hiyo ndiyo neema ya kunisumbulia, na wewe umewatia utumwani Wana wa Israili?
And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?"
قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٢٣
Firauni akasema: Na nani huyo Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote?
Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?"
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ٢٤
Akasema: Ndiye Mola Mlezi wa mbingu na ardhi, na viliomo baina yao, ikiwa nyinyi ni wenye yakini.
[Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced."
قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ ٢٥
(Firauni) akawaambia walio mzunguka: Hamsikilizi?
[Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?"
قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٢٦
(Musa) akasema: Ndiye Mola wenu Mlezi, na Mola Mlezi wa baba zenu wa kwanza.
[Moses] said, "Your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers."
قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ ٢٧
(Firauni) akasema: Hakika huyu Mtume wenu aliye tumwa kwenu ni mwendawazimu.
[Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad."
قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ٢٨
(Musa) akasema: Ndiye Mola Mlezi wa Mashariki na Magharibi na viliomo baina yao, ikiwa nyinyi mnatia akilini.
[Moses] said, "Lord of the east and the west and that between them, if you were to reason."
قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ ٢٩
(Firauni) akasema: Ukimfuata mungu mwengine asiye kuwa mimi, basi bila ya shaka nitakufunga gerezani.
[Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned."
قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ٣٠
Akasema: Je! Ijapo kuwa nitakuletea kitu cha kubainisha wazi?
[Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?"
قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ٣١
Akasema: Kilete basi, kama wewe ni katika wasemao kweli.
[Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful."
فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ٣٢
Basi akaitupa fimbo yake, mara ikawa nyoka wa kuonekana dhaahiri.
So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest.
وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ ٣٣
Na akautoa mkono wake, na mara ukawa mweupe kwa watazamao.
And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers.
قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌۭ ٣٤
(Firauni) akawaambia waheshimiwa walio mzunguka: Hakika huyu ni mchawi mtaalamu.
[Pharaoh] said to the eminent ones around him, "Indeed, this is a learned magician.
يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ ٣٥
Anataka kukutoeni katika nchi yenu kwa uchawi wake. Basi mna shauri gani?
He wants to drive you out of your land by his magic, so what do you advise?"
قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ٣٦
Wakasema: Mpe muda yeye na nduguye na uwatume mijini wapigao mbiu ya mgambo.
They said, "Postpone [the matter of] him and his brother and send among the cities gatherers
يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍۢ ٣٧
Wakuletee kila mchawi bingwa mtaalamu.
Who will bring you every learned, skilled magician."
فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ٣٨
Basi wakakusanywa wachawi wakati na siku maalumu.
So the magicians were assembled for the appointment of a well-known day.
وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ ٣٩
Na watu wakaambiwa: Je! Mtakusanyika?
And it was said to the people, "Will you congregate
لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ٤٠
Huenda tutawafuata wachawi wakiwa wao ndio watakao shinda.
That we might follow the magicians if they are the predominant?"
فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ٤١
Basi walipo kuja wachawi wakamwambia Firauni: Je! Tutapata ujira tukiwa sisi ndio tulio shinda?
And when the magicians arrived, they said to Pharaoh, "Is there indeed for us a reward if we are the predominant?"
قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ٤٢
Naam! Na hakika mtakuwa katika watu wa mbele.
He said, "Yes, and indeed, you will then be of those near [to me]."
قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ ٤٣
Musa akwaambia: Tupeni mnavyo taka kutupa.
Moses said to them, "Throw whatever you will throw."
فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ ٤٤
Basi wakatupa kamba zao na fimbo zao, na wakasema: Kwa nguvu za Firauni hakika sisi hapana shaka ni wenye kushinda.
So they threw their ropes and their staffs and said, "By the might of Pharaoh, indeed it is we who are predominant."
فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ٤٥
Musa tena akatupa fimbo yake, nayo mara ikavimeza walivyo vizua.
Then Moses threw his staff, and at once it devoured what they falsified.
فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ ٤٦
Hapo wachawi walipinduka wakasujudu.
So the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].
قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٤٧
Wakasema: Tunamuamini Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
They said, "We have believed in the Lord of the worlds,
رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ٤٨
Mola Mlezi wa Musa na Harun.
The Lord of Moses and Aaron."
قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍۢ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٤٩
(Firauni) akasema: Je! Mmemuamini kabla sijakuruhusuni? Bila ya shaka yeye basi ndiye mkubwa wenu aliye kufunzeni uchawi. Basi mtakuja jua! Nitakata mikono yenu na miguu yenu kwa kutafautisha. Na nitakubandikeni misalabani nyote.
[Pharaoh] said, "You believed Moses before I gave you permission. Indeed, he is your leader who has taught you magic, but you are going to know. I will surely cut off your hands and your feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you all."
قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ٥٠
Wakasema: Haidhuru, kwani sisi ni wenye kurejea kwa Mola wetu Mlezi.
They said, "No harm. Indeed, to our Lord we will return.
إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٥١
Hakika sisi tunatumai Mola wetu Mlezi atatusamehe makosa yetu, kwa kuwa ndio wa kwanza wa kuamini.
Indeed, we aspire that our Lord will forgive us our sins because we were the first of the believers."
۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ٥٢
Na tulimuamrisha Musa kwa wahyi: Nenda na waja wangu wakati wa usiku. Kwa hakika mtafuatwa.
And We inspired to Moses, "Travel by night with My servants; indeed, you will be pursued."
فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ٥٣
Basi Firauni akawatuma mijini wapiga mbiu za mgambo.
Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers
إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌۭ قَلِيلُونَ ٥٤
(Wakieneza): Hakika hawa ni kikundi kidogo.
[And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band,
وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ ٥٥
Nao wanatuudhi.
And indeed, they are enraging us,
وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ ٥٦
Na sisi ni wengi, wenye kuchukua hadhari.
And indeed, we are a cautious society... "
فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ٥٧
Basi tukawatoa katika mabustani na chemchem,
So We removed them from gardens and springs
وَكُنُوزٍۢ وَمَقَامٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ٥٨
Na makhazina, na vyeo vya hishima,
And treasures and honorable station -
كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٥٩
Kadhaalika; na tukawarithisha hayo Wana wa Israili.
Thus. And We caused to inherit it the Children of Israel.
فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ ٦٠
Basi wakawafuata lilipo chomoza jua.
So they pursued them at sunrise.
فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ ٦١
Na yalipo onana majeshi mawili haya, watu wa Musa wakasema: Hakika sisi bila ya shaka tumepatikana!
And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!"
قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ٦٢
(Musa) akasema: Hasha! Hakika yu pamoja nami Mola wangu Mlezi. Yeye ataniongoa!
[Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me."
فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍۢ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٦٣
Tulimletea wahyi Musa tukamwambia: Piga bahari kwa fimbo yako. Basi ikatengana, na kila sehemu ikawa kama mlima mkubwa.
Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain.
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ٦٤
Na tukawajongeza hapo wale wengine.
And We advanced thereto the pursuers.
وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ٦٥
Tukawaokoa Musa na walio kuwa pamoja naye wote.
And We saved Moses and those with him, all together.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ٦٦
Kisha tukawazamisha hao wengine.
Then We drowned the others.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٦٧
Hakika bila ya shaka katika hayo ipo Ishara; lakini wengi wao si katika wenye kuamini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٦٨
Na kwa hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٦٩
Na wasomee khabari za Ibrahim.
And recite to them the news of Abraham,
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٠
Alipo mwambia baba yake na kaumu yake: Mnaabudu nini?
When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?"
قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًۭا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ ٧١
Wakasema: Tunaabudu masanamu, daima tunayanyenyekea.
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ ٧٢
Akasema: Je! Yanakusikieni mnapo yaita?
He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate?
أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ ٧٣
Au yanakufaeni, au yanakudhuruni?
Or do they benefit you, or do they harm?"
قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ ٧٤
Wakasema: Bali tumewakuta baba zetu wakifanya hivyo hivyo.
They said, "But we found our fathers doing thus."
قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٥
Je! Mmewaona hawa mnao waabudu-
He said, "Then do you see what you have been worshipping,
أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ ٧٦
Nyinyi na baba zenu wa zamani?
You and your ancient forefathers?
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٧٧
Kwani hakika hao ni adui zangu, isipo kuwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
Indeed, they are enemies to me, except the Lord of the worlds,
ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ ٧٨
Ambaye ndiye aliye niumba, na Yeye ndiye ananiongoa,
Who created me, and He [it is who] guides me.
وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ ٧٩
Na ambaye ndiye ananilisha na kuninywesha.
And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink.
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ ٨٠
Na ninapo ugua ni Yeye ndiye anaye niponesha.
And when I am ill, it is He who cures me
وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ ٨١
Na ambaye atanifisha, na kisha atanihuisha.
And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life
وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ٨٢
Na ambaye ndiye ninaye mtumai kunisamehe makosa yangu Siku ya Malipo.
And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense."
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًۭا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٨٣
Mola wangu Mlezi! Nitunukie hukumu na uniunganishe na watendao mema.
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍۢ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٨٤
Na unijaalie nitajwe kwa wema na watu watakao kuja baadaye.
And grant me a reputation of honor among later generations.
وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٨٥
Na unijaalie katika warithi wa Bustani za neema.
And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Pleasure.
وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٨٦
Na umsamehe baba yangu, kwani hakika alikuwa miongoni mwa wapotovu.
And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray.
وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ ٨٧
Wala usinihizi Siku watapo fufuliwa.
And do not disgrace me on the Day they are [all] resurrected -
يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌۭ وَلَا بَنُونَ ٨٨
Siku ambayo kwamba mali hayato faa kitu wala wana.
The Day when there will not benefit [anyone] wealth or children
إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍۢ ٨٩
Isipo kuwa mwenye kumjia Mwenyezi Mungu na moyo safi.
But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart."
وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ٩٠
Na Pepo itasogezwa kwa wachamngu.
And Paradise will be brought near [that Day] to the righteous.
وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ ٩١
Na Jahannamu itadhihirishwa kwa wapotovu.
And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators,
وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٩٢
Na wataambiwa: Wako wapi mlio kuwa mkiwaabudu
And it will be said to them, "Where are those you used to worship
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ ٩٣
Badala ya Mwenyezi Mungu? Je! Wanakusaidieni, au wanajisaidia wenyewe?
Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?"
فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ٩٤
Basi watavurumizwa humo wao na hao wakosefu,
So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators
وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ ٩٥
Na majeshi ya Ibilisi yote.
And the soldiers of Iblees, all together.
قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ ٩٦
Watasema, na hali ya kuwa wanazozana humo:
They will say while they dispute therein,
تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ٩٧
Wallahi! Kwa yakini tulikuwa katika upotovu ulio dhaahiri,
"By Allah, we were indeed in manifest error
إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٩٨
Tulipo kufanyeni ni sawa na Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds.
وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٩٩
Na hawakutupoteza ila wale wakosefu.
And no one misguided us except the criminals.
فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ ١٠٠
Basi hatuna waombezi.
So now we have no intercessors
وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍۢ ١٠١
Wala rafiki wa dhati.
And not a devoted friend.
فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةًۭ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١٠٢
Laiti tungeli pata kurejea tena tungeli kuwa katika Waumini.
Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... "
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٠٣
Hakika katika haya ipo Ishara, lakini wengi wao hawakuwa wenye kuamini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٠٤
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٠٥
Kaumu ya Nuhu waliwakadhibisha Mitume.
The people of Noah denied the messengers
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٠٦
Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Nuhu: Je! Hamchimngu?
When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٠٧
Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٠٨
Basi Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٠٩
Na sikutakini juu yake ujira, kwani ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١١٠
Basi Mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me."
۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ ١١١
Wakasema: Je! Tukuamini wewe, hali wanao kufuata ni watu wa chini?
They said, "Should we believe you while you are followed by the lowest [class of people]?"
قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ١١٢
Akasema: Nayajuaje waliyo kuwa wakiyafanya?
He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do?
إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ ١١٣
Hisabu yao haiko ila kwa Mola wao Mlezi, laiti mngeli tambua!
Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive.
وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٤
Wala mimi si wa kuwafukuza Waumini.
And I am not one to drive away the believers.
إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ١١٥
Mimi si cho chote ila ni Mwonyaji wa dhaahiri shaahiri.
I am only a clear warner."
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ ١١٦
Wakasema: Ikiwa huachi, ewe Nuhu, bila ya shaka utapigwa mawe.
They said, "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will surely be of those who are stoned."
قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ ١١٧
Akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi! Hakika watu wangu wamenikanusha.
He said, "My Lord, indeed my people have denied me.
فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٨
Basi hukumu baina yangu na wao kwa hukumu yako, na uniokoe mimi na walio pamoja nami, Waumini.
Then judge between me and them with decisive judgement and save me and those with me of the believers."
فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ١١٩
Kwa hivyo tukamwokoa yeye na walio kuwa pamoja naye katika marikebu iliyo sheheni.
So We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ ١٢٠
Kisha tukawazamisha baadaye walio bakia.
Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٢١
Hakika katika haya ipo Ishara, lakini si wengi wao walio kuwa Waumini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٢٢
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٢٣
Kina A'd waliwakanusha Mitume.
'Aad denied the messengers
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٢٤
Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Hud: Je! Hamchimngu?
When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٢٥
Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٢٦
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٢٧
Wala sikutakeni juu yake ujira, kwani ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةًۭ تَعْبَثُونَ ١٢٨
Je! Mnajenga juu ya kila mnyanyuko kumbusho la kufanyia upuuzi?
Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves,
وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ ١٢٩
Na mnajenga majengo ya fakhari kama kwamba mtaishi milele!
And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally?
وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ ١٣٠
Na mnapo tumia nguvu mnatumia nguvu kwa ujabari.
And when you strike, you strike as tyrants.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٣١
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ ١٣٢
Na mcheni aliye kupeni haya mnayo yajua.
And fear He who provided you with that which you know,
أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍۢ وَبَنِينَ ١٣٣
Amekupeni wanyama wa kufuga na wana.
Provided you with grazing livestock and children
وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍ ١٣٤
Na mabustani na chemchem.
And gardens and springs.
إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ١٣٥
Hakika mimi ninakukhofieni adhabu ya Siku Kubwa.
Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day."
قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ ١٣٦
Wakasema: Ni mamoja kwetu, ukitupa mawaidha au hukuwa miongoni mwa watoao mawaidha.
They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors.
إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣٧
Haya si chochote ila ni mtindo wa watu wa tokea zamani.
This is not but the custom of the former peoples,
وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ١٣٨
Wala sisi hatutaadhibiwa.
And we are not to be punished."
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٣٩
Wakamkanusha; nasi tukawaangamiza. Hakika bila ya shaka katika haya ipo Ishara. Lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
And they denied him, so We destroyed them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٤٠
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٤١
Kina Thamud waliwakanusha Mitume.
Thamud denied the messengers
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٤٢
Alipo waambia ndugu yao Saleh: Je! Hamumchimngu?
When their brother Salih said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٤٣
Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٤٤
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٤٥
Wala sikutakini ujira juu yake. Ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ ١٤٦
Je! Mtaachwa salama usalimina katika haya yaliyopo hapa?
Will you be left in what is here, secure [from death],
فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ١٤٧
Katika mabustani, na chemchem?
Within gardens and springs
وَزُرُوعٍۢ وَنَخْلٍۢ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌۭ ١٤٨
Na konde na mitende yenye makole yaliyo wiva.
And fields of crops and palm trees with softened fruit?
وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا فَٰرِهِينَ ١٤٩
Na mnachonga milimani majumba kwa ustadi.
And you carve out of the mountains, homes, with skill.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٥٠
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ١٥١
Wala msit'ii amri za walio pindukia mipaka,
And do not obey the order of the transgressors,
ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ ١٥٢
Ambao wanafanya ufisadi katika nchi, wala hawatengenezi.
Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend."
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ١٥٣
Wakasema: Hakika wewe ni miongoni mwa walio rogwa.
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١٥٤
Wewe si chochote ila ni mtu kama sisi. Basi lete Ishara ukiwa wewe ni miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
You are but a man like ourselves, so bring a sign, if you should be of the truthful."
قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌۭ لَّهَا شِرْبٌۭ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ١٥٥
Akasema: Huyu ngamia jike; awe na zamu yake ya kunywa, na nyinyi muwe na zamu yenu ya kunywa katika siku maalumu.
He said, "This is a she-camel. For her is a [time of] drink, and for you is a [time of] drink, [each] on a known day.
وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ١٥٦
Wala msimguse kwa uwovu, isije ikakushikeni adhabu ya Siku Kubwa.
And do not touch her with harm, lest you be seized by the punishment of a terrible day."
فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ ١٥٧
Lakini wakamuuwa, na wakawa wenye kujuta.
But they hamstrung her and so became regretful.
فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٥٨
Basi ikawapata adhabu. Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara. Lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
And the punishment seized them. Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٥٩
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi ndiye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٦٠
Watu wa Lut'i waliwakanusha Mitume.
The people of Lot denied the messengers
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٦١
Alipo waambia ndugu yao, Lut'i: Je! Hamumchimngu?
When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٦٢
Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu kwenu.
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٦٣
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦٤
Wala mimi sikutakini ujira juu yake; ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦٥
Je! Katika viumbe vyote mnawaingilia wanaume?
Do you approach males among the worlds
وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ ١٦٦
Na mnaacha alicho kuumbieni Mola wenu Mlezi katika wake zenu? Ama kweli nyinyi ni watu mnao ruka mipaka!
And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing."
قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ ١٦٧
Wakasema: Ewe Lut'i! Usipo acha, hapana shaka utakuwa miongoni mwa wanao tolewa mji!
They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted."
قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ ١٦٨
Akasema: Hakika mimi ni katika wanao kichukia hichi kitendo chenu.
He said, "Indeed, I am, toward your deed, of those who detest [it].
رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ ١٦٩
Mola wangu Mlezi! Niokoe mimi na ahali zangu na haya wayatendayo.
My Lord, save me and my family from [the consequence of] what they do."
فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ١٧٠
Basi tukamwokoa yeye na ahali zake wote,
So We saved him and his family, all,
إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ١٧١
Isipo kuwa kikongwe katika walio kaa nyuma.
Except an old woman among those who remained behind.
ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ١٧٢
Kisha tukawaangamiza wale wengine.
Then We destroyed the others.
وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًۭا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ١٧٣
Na tukawanyeshea mvua, basi ni ovu mno mvua ya waliyo onywa.
And We rained upon them a rain [of stones], and evil was the rain of those who were warned.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٧٤
Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara. Na hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٧٥
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi bila ya shaka ndiye Mwenye nguvu, Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٧٦
Watu wa Machakani waliwakanusha Mitume.
The companions of the thicket denied the messengers
إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٧٧
Shuaibu alipo waambia: Je! Hamfanyi mkamchamngu?
When Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear Allah?
إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٧٨
Hakika mimi kwenu ni Mtume muaminifu.
Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger.
فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٧٩
Basi mcheni Mwenyezi Mungu, na nit'iini mimi.
So fear Allah and obey me.
وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٨٠
Wala sikutakini ujira juu yake. Ujira wangu hauko ila kwa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds.
۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ ١٨١
Timizeni kipimo sawa sawa, wala msiwe katika wanao punja.
Give full measure and do not be of those who cause loss.
وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ ١٨٢
Na pimeni kwa haki iliyo nyooka;
And weigh with an even balance.
وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ ١٨٣
Wala msiwapunje watu vitu vyao, wala msifanye jeuri kwa ufisadi.
And do not deprive people of their due and do not commit abuse on earth, spreading corruption.
وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٨٤
Na mcheni aliye kuumbeni nyinyi na vizazi vilivyo tangulia.
And fear He who created you and the former creation."
قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ١٨٥
Wakasema: Hakika wewe ni katika walio rogwa.
They said, "You are only of those affected by magic.
وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ ١٨٦
Na wewe si chochote ila ni mtu tu kama sisi, na kwa yakini tunakuona wewe ni katika waongo.
You are but a man like ourselves, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.
فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١٨٧
Hebu tuangushie vipande kutoka mbinguni ikiwa wewe ni miongoni mwa wasemao kweli.
So cause to fall upon us fragments of the sky, if you should be of the truthful."
قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ١٨٨
Akasema: Mola wangu Mlezi anajua zaidi mnayo yatenda.
He said, "My Lord is most knowing of what you do."
فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ١٨٩
Basi walimkanusha, na ikawashika adhabu ya siku ya kivuli. Hakika hiyo ilikuwa adhabu ya siku kubwa.
And they denied him, so the punishment of the day of the black cloud seized them. Indeed, it was the punishment of a terrible day.
إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٩٠
Hakika katika hayo ipo Ishara, lakini hawakuwa wengi wao wenye kuamini.
Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٩١
Na hakika Mola wako Mlezi bila ya shaka ndiye Yeye Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٩٢
Na bila ya shaka hii ni Uteremsho wa Mola Mlezi wa walimwengu wote.
And indeed, the Qur'an is the revelation of the Lord of the worlds.
نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ ١٩٣
Ameuteremsha Roho muaminifu,
The Trustworthy Spirit has brought it down
عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ ١٩٤
Juu ya moyo wako, ili uwe katika Waonyaji,
Upon your heart, [O Muhammad] - that you may be of the warners -
بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ١٩٥
Kwa ulimi wa Kiarabu ulio wazi.
In a clear Arabic language.
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٩٦
Na hakika bila ya shaka haya yamo katika Vitabu vya kale.
And indeed, it is [mentioned] in the scriptures of former peoples.
أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ١٩٧
Je! Haikuwa kwao ni Ishara kwamba wanayajua haya wanazuoni wa Wana wa Israili?
And has it not been a sign to them that it is recognized by the scholars of the Children of Israel?
وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ ١٩٨
Na lau kuwa tungeli iteremsha juu ya mmoja wa wasio kuwa Waarabu,
And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners
فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ ١٩٩
Na akawasomea, wasingeli kuwa wenye kuamini.
And he had recited it to them [perfectly], they would [still] not have been believers in it.
كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٢٠٠
Namna hivi tunaingiza katika nyoyo za wakosefu.
Thus have We inserted disbelief into the hearts of the criminals.
لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ ٢٠١
Hawataiamini mpaka waione adhabu chungu.
They will not believe in it until they see the painful punishment.
فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ٢٠٢
Basi itawafikia kwa ghafla, na hali hawana khabari.
And it will come to them suddenly while they perceive [it] not.
فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ ٢٠٣
Na watasema: Je, tutapewa muhula?
And they will say, "May we be reprieved?"
أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ٢٠٤
Basi, je, wanaihimiza adhabu yetu?
So for Our punishment are they impatient?
أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ سِنِينَ ٢٠٥
Waonaje kama tukiwastarehesha kwa miaka,
Then have you considered if We gave them enjoyment for years
ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ ٢٠٦
Kisha yakawafikia waliyo kuwa wakiahidiwa,
And then there came to them that which they were promised?
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ ٢٠٧
Yatawafaa nini yale waliyo stareheshewa?
They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided.
وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ٢٠٨
Wala hatukuangamiza mji wo wote ila ulikuwa na waonyaji -
And We did not destroy any city except that it had warners
ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ٢٠٩
Kuwa ni ukumbusho. Wala Sisi hatukuwa wenye kudhulumu.
As a reminder; and never have We been unjust.
وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ ٢١٠
Wala Mashet'ani hawakuteremka nayo,
And the devils have not brought the revelation down.
وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٢١١
Wala haitakiwi kwao, na wala hawawezi.
It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able.
إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ ٢١٢
Hakika hao wametengwa na kusikia.
Indeed they, from [its] hearing, are removed.
فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ ٢١٣
Basi usimwombe mungu mwingine pamoja na Mwenyezi Mungu ukawa miongoni mwa watakao adhibiwa.
So do not invoke with Allah another deity and [thus] be among the punished.
وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ ٢١٤
Na uwaonye jamaa zako walio karibu nawe.
And warn, [O Muhammad], your closest kindred.
وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢١٥
Na watwae kwa upole wanao kufuata miongoni mwa Waumini.
And lower your wing to those who follow you of the believers.
فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ ٢١٦
Na ikiwa watakuasi basi sema: Mimi najitenga mbali na hayo mnayo yatenda.
And if they disobey you, then say, "Indeed, I am disassociated from what you are doing."
وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٢١٧
Na umtegemee Mtukufu Mwenye nguvu Mwenye kurehemu.
And rely upon the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ٢١٨
Ambaye anakuona unapo simama,
Who sees you when you arise
وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ٢١٩
Na mageuko yako kati ya wanao sujudu.
And your movement among those who prostrate.
إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٢٢٠
Hakika Yeye ndiye Mwenye kusikia Mwenye kujua.
Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ ٢٢١
Je! Nikwambieni nani wanawashukia Mashet'ani?
Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend?
تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ ٢٢٢
Wanamshukia kila mzushi mkubwa mwingi wa dhambi.
They descend upon every sinful liar.
يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَٰذِبُونَ ٢٢٣
Wanawapelekea yale wanayo yasikia; na wengi wao ni waongo.
They pass on what is heard, and most of them are liars.
وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ٢٢٤
Na watungaji mashairi ni wapotofu ndio wanawafuata.
And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them;
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍۢ يَهِيمُونَ ٢٢٥
Je! Huwaoni kwamba wao wanatangatanga katika kila bonde?
Do you not see that in every valley they roam
وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ ٢٢٦
Na kwamba wao husema wasiyo yatenda?
And that they say what they do not do? -
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍۢ يَنقَلِبُونَ ٢٢٧
Isipo kuwa wale walio amini, na wakatenda mema, na wakamkumbuka Mwenyezi Mungu kwa wingi, na wakajitetea wanapo dhulumiwa. Na wanao dhulumu watakuja jua mgeuko gani watakao geuka.
Except those [poets] who believe and do righteous deeds and remember Allah often and defend [the Muslims] after they were wronged. And those who have wronged are going to know to what [kind of] return they will be returned.
