عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «نَحْنُ آخِرُ الأُمَمِ، وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُحَاسَبُ، يُقَالُ: أَيْنَ الأُمَّةُ الأُمِّيَّةُ وَنَبِيُّهَا؟ فَنَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ الأَوَّلُونَ».
Imepokelewa kutoka kwa bin Abbas -radhi za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yao -ya kwamba Mtume wa Mwenyezi Mungu -rehema na amani za Mwenyezi Mungu ziwe juu yake- amesema: "Sisi ni Umma wa mwisho, na ndio wa kwanza kuhesabiwa, patasemwa: Uko wapi Umma usiosoma na Nabii wao? Sisi ni wa mwisho wa mwanzo".
Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: "We are the last of the nations, and the first to be brought to account. It will be said: Where is the unlettered nation and its Prophet? Thus, we are the last (in time) but the first (on the Day of Judgment)."
